Do you think a Looter Shooter with the ARPG seasonal model would work? Seems like the two genres are functionally the same; level up, spec a build, grind loot to get more powerful. And yet every Looter Shooter is a continuous model while ARPGs reset every few months.

@pochxii Some people do just play one game, but I'm sure it'd be nice to have some other stuff to play more casually. Doesn't have to be more competitive games, could be completely different stuff, y'know Having casual stuff to play with friends is prolly more fun than you realize

@Ki11ersix @III_Gunther_III What the early games did right is very simple All of the dialogue tended to happen while you were already running to the next objective, and they rarely spoke so much that you were just standing still and looking at the talking head

@III_Gunther_III I think we’re seeing that with BL4. Players don’t enjoy replaying the story even though I found it to be one of the better stories in the series. The pacing is slow and there’s too much unskipable dialogue. Plus open world

I think a big thing to take away from this is that people view replayability>endgame. Which I think is MASSIVELY true. BL2 even at its base has a story that is so much better to replay. A 10h story I can play and enjoy 100 times is better than nearly any amount of boring endgame

I don't play the game, like I said. Majority of the songs that I like from it don't even take place within the game, but trailers

Honestly the reason I don't talk about gacha games as much anymore is because I like getting new characters. I like building characters, and I also easily slip into spending money. Now obviously, music is a big part of my life. I enjoy talking about all game music from so many games. The problem with gacha games is the music is genuinely so polished, it makes me want to check out the games. Wuthering waves and ZZZ have my favorite gameplay but even ZZZ I just can't with the rates and the double 50/50. So, wuwa is what I play because I enjoy the total package and the friction is less severe for me. I can't just play these games because I fall into spending. Which is why I focus so much on wuwa. Because it's the one I like the most. So, spending feels fine to me and it's less prohibitive without the weapon gacha system. So, if you're wondering why I don't talk about arknights or genshin or hsr or zzz or Nikke it's simply because I'm protecting myself. I think that's fair.
