As you may know, I was hacked last week and lost access to the @SimBadd64 account. Can I ask you to please block that account and follow me here instead? Reposts appreciated.

Senior leaders must be closely aligned with subject heads when it comes to inspections, explains Zoe Enser, as she sets out how best to support your team ahead of an Ofsted visit tes.com/magazine/teach…

This says more about the success of the government in fixing the economic and societal disadvantage that many children have to cope with on top of learning than it does about the success of schools. We need more investment in the resources needed to overcome disadvantage.

I’m not sure how the new Ofsted framework is raising standards. It’s seems to be regurgitating the same systemic issues - the more disadvantaged the school, the more likely Ofsted will highlight this, and exacerbate the problem. schoolsweek.co.uk/fury-as-ofsted…

Data like this risk telling a worryingly simple story. Schools serving the highest proportions of disadvantaged pupils face deeper structural challenges every day. Reducing the work of school leaders to comparative Ofsted outcomes ignores the extraordinary effort, leadership and resilience required to support the communities. Accountability must recognise context, not erase it.

No. Absolutely not. My bills are rising by more than that per year, not over 3 years. My mobile phone bill has risen by 7.5% this year alone. A below inflation pay rise is a pay CUT. Worse than that though, an unfunded payrise is a school funding cut. #SaveEducation

Teachers should get a pay rise of at least 7% over 3 years to avoid school staff shortages, says @TheNFER in response to the DfE’s 6.5% proposal tes.com/magazine/news/…

Tell me anything you did today that would be completely bizarre if it weren't for the fact that you were a teacher.

@Headteacherchat I did work before work today so that I'll have work to do when work starts which I'll then have more work to do with after work.

@Ofstednews @martyneoliver Same old 💩.. schools in highest deprivation areas with most fsm get worst grading low exp line used. No incentive and no understanding of work done. Postcode lottery of education which this quango just exacerbates further. Not fit for purpose. Absolute joke of an organisation.

Imagine working in this school. It's an all girls' school and their manners and politeness are impeccable. Those working in disadvantaged areas work so incredibly hard to build a rapport and trust through blood, sweat and tears before they even begin to teach. I had burn out.

Got my first 3 star review for Unlocking Teacher Development. No feedback obvious 🤣 If only there was a book that outlined how feedback without context is ineffective at driving improvement! Seriously though thanks to the 10 people that took time to review. Even Mr 3star
