Tongai Moyo “breaks the tradition of tear-washed music” and contrasts with the “pessimistic existentialism” of Chibadura/Zhakata. ~ Charles Tembo, MSU Dept of African Languages and Culture, in “An Embodied Culture of Optimism and Struggle: The Sungura Music of Tongai Moyo"

The thief on the cross is the only person after Jesus currently guaranteed to be in heaven. No wonder he has become a role model for most of the churches!

@bmusonza @JamesWekwaSadza @baba_nyenyedzi By 1996, we had reversed all this & importing agric produce. Deeds, farm size, stable currency & min govt intervention in pricing & marketing of produce will help bring back those glory days. Oh, and revival of Dorowa mine and steel production helps in fert production as well.

@SimbaDzingai1 @JamesWekwaSadza @baba_nyenyedzi Agriculture remains backbone supply chain of our manufacturing sector. In 1985, we reached record achievement of 25% manufacturing contribution to GDP, a feat only SA has achieved in Africa; that had a strong correlation to phenomenal growth in agriculture output in better yields

If indeed land was at the heart of the liberation struggle why is it black farmers don’t have title deeds? What kind of ideology steals away the right of a black man to own title? Does it need another Chimurenga for a black man to finally own land?

@bmusonza @JamesWekwaSadza @baba_nyenyedzi Am not saying that. We should be able to feed ourselves and even export but, to believe that agric is the backbone of our economy is wrong. We should be adding value to our minerals and manufacturing stuff over and above feeding ourselves. Current policies don't encourage that!

@SimbaDzingai1 @JamesWekwaSadza @baba_nyenyedzi Agriculture does not have to contribute significantly to to GDP, a country need to produce as much food to feed itself and to save foreign currency from importing food. Surely you can’t say we shouldn’t use our competitive advantage for growing our food and expect us to import.

@tnash_kucci How do you consider this murderous Gukurahundist a hero? He presided over Gukurahundi, Murambatsvina etc, what's heroic about that? What did he do that cancels out the evils he did?

@tnash_kucci Jairos Jiri, a Rozvi giant, denied himself the trappings of a successful life, instead dedicated his entire life serving his less fortunate human beings for them to live a wholesome life. If you're asked you to define unhu/ubuntu, just mention his name..it fully defines it all!

@bmusonza @JamesWekwaSadza @baba_nyenyedzi I've looked at the top economies in the world and noticed that they are doing very well with agriculture contributing less than 15% of their GDP! Create policies that encourage and bolster economic participation in all sectors, not just agric!

@JamesWekwaSadza @baba_nyenyedzi Believe you me; it may not be you but your kids as a generation that may look back and thank these monsters for taking control of our land. It's done!! South African has peddled the falsehood that we will not do it the Zimbabwean way; but they find themselves in catch-22.

The Covid vaccines have generated a lot of debate among christians, with some claiming that they are a mark of the beast. I do sympathize with this fearful lot and I'll attempt in this thread to alley their fear of the apocalypse. @AnoJoymusic @parkvoo @DougMamvura
