Closing this gap represents one of the most consequential opportunities for accelerating Africa's development. The International Financial Architecture, largely shaped in the mid-twentieth century, is now being reassessed in light of Africa's current economic trajectory and growing strategic significance. The Africa Forward Summit 2026 advances a reform agenda that responds to this moment - one centred on: 1.⁠ ⁠Improved access to sustainable financing; 2.⁠ ⁠Risk-reduction mechanisms that expand private capital flows into the continent; and 3.⁠ ⁠Broader African representation in the institutions that shape global financial rules. The #AfricaForward Summit recognises that directing greater private capital toward Africa's infrastructure needs (e.g schools, hospitals, roads, and energy systems) represents both a development imperative and a sound investment opportunity. TÜRKSAT 7A will be the first satellite to be launched from Somalia! Ahmet Hamdi Atalay, General Manager of Türksat, stated that the Türksat 7A satellite project is approaching the production phase and that the process of determining its technical specifications is almost complete. Atalay said that Türksat is a stakeholder in the Spaceport Project that Türkiye has begun establishing in Somalia. He added, ‘Once we build our own launch system, we will be able to meet our needs whenever we want and take a share in this large market.’ As Türksat, we aim to become the first company to use our national launch system. We hope to send our Türksat 7A satellite, which is currently in the preparation stage, into space using our own launch system and to have our infrastructure ready before this process.’ The satellite is planned to enter service in 2029.

@qatarairways My nieces are stranded in Kuala Lumpur after being denied boarding due to a ticketing error caused by the airline/travel agency. Both parties are refusing responsibility. This is unacceptable. Resolve this urgently before we escalate legally.
