Some great news on Triston Casas: He will start his swinging progression on Monday. The soreness isn’t as severe as they feared, per @jcmccaffrey. While there isn’t a role for Casas right now, he’s very important depth at 1B for Contreras, who’s had his fair share of injuries.

@tylermilliken_ You gotta love the way Breslow designed this team. GM of the year candidate. Nobody can hit home runs, but that’s not important - run prevention is.

Frustrating to lose these games where the pitching staff handles business. Especially when Early didn’t have his best stuff and was able to tread water. Credit to the bullpen for keeping you in it, even if Chapman leaked at the end. You didn’t rack up the strikeouts offensively, but you had opportunities in the 4th and 5th to do more damage. Bats just need to be better. Especially Story in the #2 spot.
