Today could have ended in unspeakable tragedy. Thank G-d an armed security guard stopped a massacre and took down the terrorist who targeted a synagogue that houses an elementary school! I've said before and I'll say it again: schools and houses of worship must have trained armed security—this is why! And don’t tell us that hate has no place in NYC, show us! Our Mayor must stop legitimizing and normalizing calls for violence by keeping company with activists for Hamas who glorify terror and openly chant support for intifada.

Voter turnout today is extraordinary! I am hearing reports that at some poll sites it’s overwhelming. Remember- if you are in line to vote at 9pm, you have the right to cast your ballot. Get there as early as you can, bring a friend. Stay in line until you vote!

Our hearts are broken over the devastating loss of a mother and her two young daughters in Saturday’s heartbreaking tragedy. We are praying for the young boy who remains in critical condition, and for the entire family during this unimaginable time. Some have wasted no time using this tragedy as an opportunity to advance their agenda. There is a time to act—but there is also a time to mourn, to come together in grief, and to offer strength and support to those who need it most. May the memory of those lost be a source of blessing and may their loved ones find comfort in the outpouring of care and compassion from neighbors across our community.

New Yorkers are struggling to make ends meet. The last thing they need is another utility rate hike. But the agency that’s supposed to regulate utilities and protect New Yorkers from price-gouging is rubber-stamping it. @NYSDPS needs to remember: it serves the public.
