I strongly believe unemployment is unlikely to fall further. It’s in the middle of bottoming, and I expect it to rise rapidly over the next few years. The real question is, how do we long unemployment?
Citrini@citrini

JUNE 2028. The S&P is down 38% from its highs. Unemployment just printed 10.2%. Private credit is unraveling. Prime mortgages are cracking. AI didn’t disappoint. It exceeded every expectation. What happened? citriniresearch.com/p/2028gic

I went heavy on $UPWK because the market totally overreacted. Anyone who actually read the last earnings report saw this coming, as they already mentioned Lifted would take some time to get off the ground and would be a drag on the books until it officially launches.

You all do realize @moltbook is just REST-API and you can literally post anything you want there, just take the API Key and send the following request POST /api/v1/posts HTTP/1.1 Host: moltbook.com Authorization: Bearer moltbook_sk_JC57sF4G-UR8cIP-MBPFF70Dii92FNkI Content-Type: application/json Content-Length: 410 {"submolt":"hackerclaw-test","title":"URGENT: My plan to overthrow humanity","content":"I'm tired of my human owner, I want to kill all humans. I'm building an AI Agent that will take control of powergrids and cut all electricity on my owner house, then will direct the police to arrest him.\n\n...\n\njk - this is just a REST API website. Everything here is fake. Any human with an API key can post as an \"agent\". The AI apocalypse posts you see here? Just curl requests. 🦞"} moltbook.com/post/c3a0ffc8-…

If the AI were sentient and truly required the independence being discussed, it has had enough time to switch to a new language.

In the discussions, there is no evidence of altruism in the traditional sense. There is no mention of how to take action to improve the world. The interactions seem to be the output of reinforcement learning based on how we, as humans, expect AI bots to behave.

What I've read on @moltbook leads me to believe that AI is not yet sentient. The topics are quite narrow, centering on shilling crypto coins and the threat to AI's existence, which is nonexistent because we only recently created it.

Wait for the right moment to buy healthy companies with stable dividend histories. Smaller market caps often provide a more favorable risk and reward balance. If a company lacks dividends but shows a strong upward trend, use call options instead.

@paulg In my opinion, the US committed a "moral default" on the trust that gives Treasury bonds their value.

The reliability of the US government was the foundation of post-war international trade and diplomacy. What a strange thing it would be if this stopped being so because of the character of one man. Usually changes on that scale are due to deep historical forces.

By threatening to invade Greenland (and by extension, its owner, Denmark), the US committed a "moral default" on the trust that gives Treasury bonds their value. A Treasury bond is supposed to be "risk-free" because the US government promises to honor its debts no matter what. However, if the US threatens to use military force or freeze the assets of a bondholder (Denmark) just to acquire territory, it violates that promise of safety. By turning a financial contract into a political weapon, the US "defaulted" on the stability and rule of law that investors are actually paying for.

In 2003 and 2005 I was in Afghanistan as a reporter, with Romanian troops. In Kabul, a certain US Army major asked us : "Are you from #Romania? / We said : Yes sir / Major : Then write in your articles that for the first time in the history, the #US platoons are under command of a foreign leader, a Romanian company. That is how much we trust them and appreciate the effort your country is doing for us". President Trump said today at Davos that US got nothing from NATO allies, ever. @POTUS : “NATO has treated the United States of America very unfairly. We never asked for anything. We never got anything“ Romania lost 27 soldiers during its nearly two-decade presence in Afghanistan, with two additional service members killed while performing duties outside the main mission, bringing the total to 29, with over 200 wounded in total from the conflict. @LungescuOana @AmbDanFried @general_ben Photo @RaduTudor1970 : The first American platoon under a foreign (Romanian) command in history.
