I am soooo excited to announce that I’ll be joining the Department of Chemistry at the University of Cincinnati in the Fall! I truly can’t wait to get things rolling in the lab and continue to make an impact in the scientific community! #GoBearcats

Soooo proud to be a PhRMA Foundation awardee. My group has been hard at working developing what we hope will be the next generation of lipid nanoparticles. Be sure to follow us to keep up with our work! 😊

I’m especially looking forward to our upcoming collaborations and working with brilliant scientists all over the globe!

What’s to come in year 2 you ask? Well, be on the lookout for our first papers! Hopefully lots more funding so we can continue to advance this research. Guaranteed more learning. And loads of fun.

And we are SUPER close to our first papers from the lab. I’m soooo blessed to have a lab like this and a job that’s even better. I’m so grateful for my colleagues who constantly encourage me and see my potential.

We had several invited talks to share about our research journey! Both domestic and international 💁🏾‍♀️

We successfully obtained 2 major research grants and are soooo proud to be funded by the PhRMA Foundation (@PhRMA) and Oak Ridge National Lab to study lipid nanoparticles.

Today officially marks 1 year of being an Assistant Professor! In this past year, the team has accomplished a lot, learned a lot, and had even more fun! I couldn’t ask for a better group of trainees to be on this journey with. Here’s a thread of our random accomplishments.

2/ and these folks are highly decorated with lots of achievements throughout the year. 1 Space Research Fellow, 1 McNair Scholar, 2 study abroad scholars, and ACS SEED fellow, oh my!

1/ Our lab grew and grew QUICKLY! We ended the year with 4 PhD students, 7 undergraduate students, 1 post-doc and 1 high school student. Literally the best team on this side of heaven.

I’m looking forward to March’s Lab Curriculum Challenge. There’s lots to learn and work through.

I’m soooo incredibly proud of the team for trying new strategies to take control of their schedules. For pushing themselves to find new ways to be productive (both in academics and in their personal lives).

For the month of February, the folks in my lab focused on a critical skill— time management. We all tracked our time for 1 week, mapped out how we would PREFER to be spending our time, and then discussed strategies to get closer to our “ideal” schedule.
