Next exercises for your training session! 🔍 How can AFC Bournemouth train to break the first line of pressing against Brighton & Hove Albion Football Club for their game on monday? Three examples how they pressed in the last two games:

Expecting FC Sevilla in an 5-3-2/5-2-3 man-oriented midfield press. CBs also very active and tend to jump forward. Celta Vigo maybe play in 3-Box-3, so here are a few exercises from me:

After more than 14 months of working professionally as assistant coach abroad - its time for me to now get back to Sweden to recharge and spend some time with family. During my terrific experience of working abroad in countries such as Austria and Slovenia - Ive got the opportunity to: • Play UEFA Conference League 25/26 Qualifications @Conf_League • Apply for UEFA PRO And to also most importantly play against high level teams, learn from different football cultures, languages, meet great people, players and colleagues on the way - who all helped me to develop as a coach and to grow as a person. Special thanks to Alex Gitsov who gave me the opportunity to work in Austria for @SKNStPoelten and Tugberk Tanrivermis for the chance to work for the most successful club in Slovenia; @nkmaribor - forever grateful! Now its time to reflect, analyze, visit some interesting coaches, recharge and prepare for new exciting projects very soon!

Defensive actions & mentality to defend. I love coaching and putting on these sessions to aid players development away from the team environment. Defending & wanting to defend is not being coached enough anymore! Great to see Spurs implementing these things at the highest level!

Sadly it was just the quarterfinal but great perfomance from our U16 boys at the Al Abtal Cup. Especially great games against Benfica Lissabon, AS Roma and FC Sevilla.

@saundzo Great detail. Do you also have something similar from the defenders perspective?

Attackers should study the footwork & movement mechanics of opposing defenders aswell as action tendencies; —Barnes in 1v1 against Lacroix, enters the box as the ‘driver’ vs ‘breaker’ —Sensitive location = hyper-reactive defender —Barnes uses single step-burst which exploits Lacroix’s 1) wide/heavy step placement + bias for right-leg leading & 2) reactionary state, forcing him to plant and kill his momentum as he follows the motion of Barnes’ leg instead of the ball Attackers have to smell blood in these 1v1s because they have the advantage of seeing everything that’s around the defender, whilst the defender can only see what’s in front of them. When they look, they pause. ‘Puppet phase’.

At FC Zürich we are concerned about the individual development of the player. we speak a lot about: getting into the back of the opponent. Wonderful Example here, where PSG`s Fabian Ruiz recognises a gap

adopting a "do it right now" mentality has done wonders for my organization & discipline. something on the floor? grab it right now. thinking about cooking later? cook right now. laundry finished? put them up right now. home from a trip? unpack right then. it's the small things.
