I couldn't agree more @SamanthaJPower - this is a very disturbing fact & we must increase our commitment & action to #EndViolence. These are not just numbers. Behind each of these statistics is a real woman, & the emotional & health costs are immense. Violence can be prevented.

.@WHO completed the largest-ever study of violence against women, with data from most countries in the world. The finding: 1 in 3 women globally experience physical or sexual violence. This is why fighting for women's rights & empowerment must be an international priority.
