@ani_obsessive People don't really get what an homage is anymore, pretty much any director did something like this at some point

Idea for a Star Wars movie:
A kid growing up in a middle class family in the time of the Empire has an older brother who joins the army and is killed during the Battle of Yavin, when the Death Star blows up. A few years later, he's old enough to become a Storm Trooper and kill Rebels, but he gets assigned to some occupied backwater planet at the edge of Hutt space as a checkpoint guard.
One day, a mysterious stranger tries to get through the checkpoint. He keeps making forceful assertions while waving his hand. The kid finds this confusing, and since he's refusing to answer questions, the other guards try to detain him. A fight ensues, and the stranger pulls out a laser sword and starts throwing people with his mind. The kid is terrified, but manages to kill the stranger with a lucky shot.
Soon after, the kid is brought before the local Moff who explains to him the guy he killed was a Jedi. The kid has never heard of Jedi or the Force, but because he's apparently immune to mind tricks, he gets reassigned to a top secret elite team of Jedi hunters and will be under the direct command of Darth Vader. The kid doesn't know anything about Jedi or Sith, so as far as he knows, Darth Vader is just some weird monk who works for Palpatine, but he quickly learns that Vader is not one to be disobeyed.
After a period of brutal training where he's forced to participate in atrocities until there isn't any trace of morality left in him, the kid gets to go on a mission to hunt down Luke Skywalker, the guy responsible for blowing up the Death Star and killing his brother.
I haven't consumed enough Star Wars media to know if this has been done already.

@CultureCrave I maintain that a good solution would have been to make Paul Mescals Character the son of Commodus

Russell Crowe slams 'Gladiator 2'
"[It's] a really unfortunate example of even the people in that engine room not actually understanding what made the first one special ... It wasn’t the circumstance. It wasn’t the action. It was the moral core"
He did not like that Lucius was Maximus' illegitimate son
"So you’re saying at the same time he had this relationship with his wife, he was fucking this other girl? ... What are you talking about? It's crazy"

@domthebomb Gotta be honest, gameplay is meh. But that's alright, everything else is great

@kineyDE @schieritz 1.
