@NCDawgsfan @Adam_baker1490 @ALS_Fanzine Players will take every advantage they can get and refs have deemed shirts pulls in that situation to be fine, they don't even give a foul for it. Defenders shouldn't have to play differently because a player has long hair.

@ALS_Fanzine grab the shirt and the long hair getting in the way. It's unfair that one teams defenders can pull the attackers shirt as much as they like as they have short hair but the other teams defenders are constantly risking a 3 match ban because the other teams attacker has long hair

@ALS_Fanzine I've been saying that if Ref's are going to encourage defenders to pull shirts by not penalising it then players should either have to cut their hear so it doesn't reach the collar or wear some form of hair covering. As most of the sendings off's have been defenders trying to....

@Garden_ofEden10 @StokeyyG2 When we have a situation where pulls of the shirt are deemed acceptable but a pull of hair is a red plus a 3 match ban then if this isn't going to be changed then players shouldn't be allowed hair that touches their collar simply for fairness. Having longer hair shouldn't be....

The FA are really not helping that Martinez decision, they’re either both red cards or they’re both nothing. There should be no in-between.

@Kartik03 @AdamJoseph a doubt because it's tried to be hidden by lots of clever people. As we saw with UEFAs charges against them not only does the PL case need to be solid but the decision needs to also or they will just appeal and probably get overturned and that's why it's taking so long

@Kartik03 @AdamJoseph Everton's (and the other psr breaches) are clear cut. Their reported losses were over the allowed amount. City on their official finances abided by all the financial rules but they did so by doing things to inflate income and hide expenses. That's much harder to prove beyond....

18 straight years of financial doping & 115+ charges pending, spanning more than half of the history of the Premier League (52.9%). Never been done before. History stained & disgraced. Nobody respects City & they know it. A rap sheet that far outweighs their 'achievements', which no amount of money will ever wash away. Congratulations on losing the last two FA Cup Finals though.

@theoldzealand Tailgating works in US sports where you basically have no opposing fans. At a world cup it would be massively problematic

@Chriswa19691781 @StretfordPaddck might be over their collar and get unintentionally grabbed see's a red for violent conduct. Either severity needs to be a factor like other fouls OR shirt pulls need cut out by them being pulled up OR players need banned from having long hair

@Chriswa19691781 @StretfordPaddck That's exactly what he is trying as he does that against all taller attackers (as do most defenders). Seems unfair that its deemed a valid tactic because it often doesn't even get flagged as a foul but against a player who has long hair you can't because their hair....

@JackTer11093393 @hbrooks_coach to have long hair then officials need the same leeway to decide severity and intent that they would get with a shirt pull. An instant red for the tiniest pull of hair and a 3 match ban is just crazy and inconsistent.

@JackTer11093393 @hbrooks_coach lucky with fouls and likes doing things like shirt pulls that I would love to see every player pulled up on every time including these collar pulls, so it was removed as part of the game but if refs are going to encourage those files and players are allowed....

So fucking stupid. It obviously isn’t a red. He has a man bun. 99% of players in aerial duels grab the shirt in some way. It’s instinct. DCL just happens to have hair in the way. If I didn’t work with individual players I’d have stopped watching this sport long ago. I don’t watch games for enjoyment anymore. As a spectacle it’s been killed by VAR and boring coaching.

@JackTer11093393 @hbrooks_coach have both grabbed higher and pulled harder. Either way it is crazy that if an attacker has long hair and their hair gets grabbed around the collar area its violent conduct and a red but the collar is pulled its rarely even a foul

@JackTer11093393 @hbrooks_coach Like most defenders especially against taller strikers he gets away with fouls as they all will grab the collar of the attacker but that's because they rarely get pulled up for fouls. I feel that's what he was trying to do. If he was trying to pull his hair surely he would.....

@FPLfrasier collars but a hair pull is instantly violent conduct that players should be banned from having long hair . Either that or it hair pulls should be punished based on severity.

@FPLfrasier The thing is as well I don't even think he was going for the hair intentionally. If you watch him like many defenders against taller attackers he often goes to pull the collar and it doesn't get called a foul. It almost seems like if Defenders are encouraged to grab....

There was no need for VAR to get involved there. Absolutely no need. Not even Leeds players were complaining much.

@AdamJoseph in decisions anyway but when the rules build it into the laws it makes things even worse. Like a shirt pull the severity should be a factor

@AdamJoseph many defenders instinctively do that and most of the time at worst its a yellow, often its not even a foul. If the attacker has long hair and the player gets their hair rather than the collar then it being an instant red just makes no sense. There is an issue with consistency...

That's an idiotic decision from Lisandro Martinez. Always going to bed a red card. Can't pull Dominic Calvert-Lewin's hair. You've made the referee's decision for him once you do it. Doesn't matter how strong the pull is or not. x.com/kaihavertzclip…
