@Big_B_10 Interesting. Let's add some objectivity. Pick a league and tell me how many 20yr olds are playing regularly in their teams. Then we also look at where those 20yr olds are from. .. Barcelona are not the norm not standard. That club is an outlier
English

@Simon_Marange I think its almost normal at this point to have 19/20 talent in pro football around the world - backed up by data. Only because the structure below platforms it. Which is what I took from Lance's comment, also seeing it first hand in Belgium.
English

Interesting discussion. I slightly differ. I think there is an "unrealistic" expectation for the majority or 19/20 yr olds to be ready for Pro football. Those are outliers, special talents and not all players can be. Even in "Europe" how many 20 yr olds are playing ?

Interesting view from ex- @BafanaBafana midfielder & agent @lancedavids85 , the age group for DDC should be targeted at 17-18? He’s making some valid points too… @SMSportsCons | @AFC_2025

With his obvious weaknesses it's in situations like this/games like these where you need TAA.
Sometimes in big teams u gotta be arrogant enough to think only about creating and scoring. Find the defensive balance elsewhere put him on and suffocate teams.

@AFootyFanSA I think they are very good during organised attacks with the 3 10s and the dynamism. However with Nkota, Saleng,Evidence they were also very good in attacking trans, either BA /CA so even when they missed a lot they created a lot in different ways.
English

@AFootyFanSA I think this is a very common football problem that Pirates had even in previous seasons under different coaches. Where I think they can explore is being dangerous in different moments of the game. I think they can be more on attacking transitions and Set-Pieces .

Wadu’s approach is becoming a concern, particularly against structured low blocks. The issue isn’t effort, it’s profile selection and game management. We continue to prioritise work rate over spatial intelligence, and that limits our ability to control tempo and manipulate compact defences.
This was a match that required a tempo-setter in the mould of Sipho Mbule, someone comfortable dictating rhythm and unlocking central spaces. It also needed a focal striker profile like Evidence Makgopa to drag centre-backs and create depth against a deep defensive line.
Building a distinct identity is understandable, but tactical balance and adaptability cannot be sacrificed in the process.

What went wrong for Orlando Pirates against Casric today? #TrySomethingAmazing

@AFootyFanSA Could be . Objectively when u check data u will find that Pirates over the last 15 games create the most high value chances. U'll also find that in most leagues the best chances don't come from central (zone 14) but from the golden zones 18&16 where they consistently arrive.
English

You’re right coach, conversion and structural issues aren’t the same thing. But I’d argue they’re linked.
When the block is well set, even mid-low,chance quality often drops unless you can disorganise it centrally. A GK being MOM can reflect finishing, but it can also suggest we’re generating volume without consistently destabilising the defensive structure.
So maybe it’s not purely a “low block problem”,it’s about how efficiently we manipulate compact teams before the final action.

@BathabileLethob Lol that wasn't a factor last week when comparisons to the best coaches in the club in modern history? Mind you this whole shift is in less than 7 days. Last week he was playing the best football . Come on
English

@Simon_Marange Lol it's not about the losses, it's about the approach and how the team plays 😂🙏
