@cbcwatcher Canada exported US$419.75B to the U.S. in 2024, and Canada’s GDP is roughly US$2.1–2.2T, then U.S.-bound exports would represent approximately 19% of Canadian GDP. In 2025 that number declined, but the final numbers aren’t out. Likely 17-18% now.

Jamieson Greer yesterday on Fox "We're entering into negotiations with Mexico right now. Our economic relationship with Mexico is very different than our relationship with Canada." "But generally speaking, these negotiations are going to proceed bilaterally and separately." "The Mexicans are being quite pragmatic right now. We've had a lot of discussions with them." "With the Canadians, it's more challenging. They continue to have certain barriers." "...The thing to keep in mind with Canada is this is a country that's 75% dependent on the United States for its gross domestic product." @jamiesongreer @MariaBartiromo

Canada is growing their population incredibly rapidly, by admitting truly massive numbers of immigrants with very high average skill levels. America should be doing the same, but instead we're mired in culture wars and national uncertainty. noahpinion.blog/p/maximum-cana…
