With our approach, you can discard or pad qubits directly in the frequency domain, augmenting or reducing the register size consistently with the overall pattern.

📉 Is resolution written in stone in a quantum register? 💻 In signal processing, the number of samples behind a continuous process can be modified with downsampling and upsampling. Some algorithms work in the frequency domain via Fourier transforms, e.g. image rescaling.

🚀 Remember the quantum JPEG? In this work, we introduce quantum frequency resampling: a general framework of quantum algorithms to resample multidimensional signals encoded in the probabilities of a quantum register.

🚀 On Wednesday, I presented our research activity at the Italian Inverse Problems & Imaging (I3) Meeting in Genoa. Thanks to the organizer for accepting my contribution. It was great to network with such a great community!

⚛️ Last Tuesday, I was invited speaker at the Quantum Computing and Simulation Center, where I presented our latest research findings on quantum compression and quantum machine learning. Thanks to the organizers for all their efforts and the invitation!

[3/4] 🎯 Once trained, our method shows a constant O(1) complexity in the number of computational operations and photons required by a single classification. A superexponential speedup over a classical artificial neuron!

⁉️ Is that a cat or a dog? In Communications Physics, we present a quantum optical interferometric scheme that classifies objects without reconstructing their images, using the only two photons: one for the input and one for the classifier parameters. 🧵
