I'll immediately tell my 12 years old son that @EpicGames has joined the @opengeospatial. I hope that, for once, he will appreciate what I'm doing. Lots of his hours are spent in this company products (guess which one in particular). Lots of my hours are spend in OGC specs!

@howardbutler and together both can form strong alliances, in particular when open source implements standards, and standards lower the transaction costs for implementation, like we will explore further in our next OGC Testbed-17

Unsubstantiated opinion: open source software provides as much on-the-ground data and service interoperability as professional standards bodies.

@kylebarron2 @sgillies @kgjenkins In a way, OGC is trying to make it even simpler so that it works better for some communities :) With respect to CRS: The plan is not to make it more complex than necessary, but with full CRS support for those who need it. Hope you will join #Testbed17!
