Anyone have any good book recs? If it helps, I love Murakami, Vonnegut, Dostoevsky, Dickens, Ellison, Tolkien, Orwell, Kafka, Bukowski, Austen, etc. I really want to read some Ursula K. Le Guin and Zadie Smith, but I'm open to suggestions if you've read anything good recently!

So my 10yr old daughter is asking for me to teach her how to code computer graphics. I need something that has immediate gratification/results. I am thinking of teaching her the basics of shader programming in @iquilezles's ShaderToy.com. Anyone try that?

Hot take: Python is fundamentally the wrong tool for layfolk programming. All existing programming languages are the wrong tool. They're all designed for *software developers*, who are specialists.
