yeah this isn’t dante at all, they just made something vaguely dante-shaped and slapped nero’s brain into it like a vessel … jokes just fine but this is literally something you’d really only hear out of nero

The thing that fucks me up is that sometimes the humor is actually decent. But with this line I just groaned. Not because it’s a bad line, but because Dante goes bigger than that. It works for Nero because he’s different and has his own charm in *that* way.

If the show had any confidence in their version of Dante they wouldn't keep taking all of Nero's iconography from his VA, Devil Trigger, personality, and now his original song. What made the original Dante so undesirable that they'd rather just take the traits from someone else?
