If you were to say "Some maps are too hard for lower ranked players", I get that. You could implement something like Trackmania does, where the higher ranked you are, the harder the maps get. Or in Rocket League's case, you could get access to the harder maps as you rank up

I'd say we've proven you can create plenty of competitive non-standard maps and game modes. Speaking of converting maps to actual environments, I know a few people who might love to do that if it meant bringing non-standard back👀

Hopefully the removal of bots comes with a hard reset. If I remember correctly it’s been nearly a decade since the last “hard” reset. Rank inflation coupled with bots ruining the ecosystem… it’s time

The Stickman is being delayed until March 31st, 2026. As of right now, Steam has not verified the game build so I cannot put the game live tomorrow, even if I wanted to. You can read the entire explanation here: store.steampowered.com/news/app/27816… I hate to do this, but I have no options.

I still stand by the idea that Rocket League going free to play was the worst decision they've made. I remember a time where I would play Rocket League because it had no cheaters, no smurfs, just the game. After free to play that ideal changed entirely.

@Zyoulou They said the game would've died without them. And it's a bad idea in hindsight. But 6 years ago in their good Fortnite days, I'd accept that deal. They're also probably one of the few publishers that can fund the esport

We'll see how this next season goes because I feel like they're at a breaking point with top players They ruined Fortnite and I'm not surprised that they ruined Rocket League And to be clear, I'm placing blame on epic, not psyonix. They're the reason we're in this mess

And they still could save it by adding load of things, but instead sit idle making millions from an upset fan base. The only thing that would change their minds is if their esport was threatened, but no one is brave enough (understandably) to do that

Hot take but bots if used properly could’ve actually been a good thing for Rocket League. Obviously keep them out of ranked, that should’ve never happened in the first place. People are using the bots to sell accounts and that’s never going to be okay. But after running into so many bots, I realized how good of a training tool it can be to play bots that play “perfect Rocket League”. Being able to watch replays of them and see the decisions they make is super interesting. Which you can either apply to your own gameplay or be able to practice against said “Perfect Rocket League”. It could unironically be meta defining for the top of RLCS. Also the bigger implication being that there is hugeeeee PvE possibilities by adding way more content to the game. Rocket League has a content drought problem and some of the best experiences I’ve had in the game has been private matches or modes created by the community. So imagine if you could play Mirror bot, or go through a hardcore gauntlet of a different variety of bots for rewards or whatever it may be. Imagine if you go against a bot that can only save, or can only flip reset that you have to defend. A bot that never drops the ball, and even a training bot that can show you how to do certain mechanics. Like half flips, balancing the ball, Hook shots, and different forms of basic fundamentals. It really does suck because even after years of nothing being added content wise to the game, RL has sooooooo much potential. Which now with the game seeing a second wave of popularity. It feels like it’s now or never to really make RL the game I know it can be. I’d love to sit down and share some of these ideas if the Devs are ever willing to listen 😔.

W. We still have an offline mode for mods, bakkes not allowed in ranked. For the amount of modding I do, I never have bakkes in ranked cause it drops your frames so you get used to it. The only drawback I see is that you can't do worskhop maps that require mods between games.
