Well, @muse I gotta say, The WOW Signal is something special. For years, I feel like I have been hypercritical of Muse. Drones was a very good album that has aged, but still has some banger songs. Simulation Theory again had some good songs, but I feel it was an overall miss in regard to delving into the concept of the genre. And Will of the People, in my opinion, was a complete mess of an album right throughout. But The WOW Signal is truly a return to form, delivering on all the aspects of the band that I have been begging to return for years. Once again, the album is varied in its soundscape, trying different things, but ultimately coming back to the one thing I crave within albums, consistency. The way the songs transition, veer off and then return to their original themes is beautiful. It works incredibly well and actually adds new depth to songs previously released, such as Unravelling. The flow between tracks makes this a smooth listening experience. The emotion poured into the writing and delivery of the album is clear. @MattBellamy deserves a lot of credit for wearing his heart on his sleeve with this one and producing some of the most engaging lyrics and sounds of his entire career. Chris, Dom, and Dan have all contributed spectacularly to the production of the album, with some of the best drums and bass to have featured on a Muse record in a very long time. This album is weird; it's all over the place, but this time around, that craziness is more than welcome. Such a fantastic listen, and I highly recommend that people give this album a try. 8.5/10 P.S.
