I didn’t say it was. But I don’t think it’s generally true that surrogacy is particularly exploitative. There are horror stories, but there are also stories like the one I mentioned. Lots of jobs/labor can be exploitative. But just like conversations about sex work, people start to lose their minds and descend into paternalistic moral panic about labor that involves women’s bodies. I don’t it’s helpful.
