There's a weird belief in America that filmmaking has to be one's only source of revenue in order for a person to be a "real" filmmaker. That's complete nonsense. Hollywood gets a lot of its money from non-film sources. Real film is indie film, and most indie filmmakers have day jobs or fundraise for their movies and pay themselves for the work. That's totally fine/the norm/acceptable. Hollywood is selling a fantasy.

Universal Pictures is extending their theatrical windows for all of their films.
Theaters will now get a minimum of 5 weekends exclusivity which will be increased to 7 weekends in January 2027.

The shutdown of children’s gaming websites & lack of security on kid games set us back so many years. they should’ve been supported like PBS Kids, Nick Jr & other programs instead of launching a mass surveillance law.

So many techniques and utilities cross over.
