Please be patient to UK content creators We are currently being hit with a pretty intense heatwave, meaning we'll probably be working a tad slower, have less energy and may even need to take a break from our PCs to prevent them from overheating Also none of this "Well we have it hotter over here" bs: - UK heat is built different - Most of us don't have ACs since we rarely NEED them for most of the year - Our houses are built to keep heat in due to how cold our weather can get - We aren't as used to hot weather given how 80% of the year, UK weather isn't hot We're not trying to dispute who has it worse/hotter, we just want patience and understanding 🙏

@SimplySenah Yeah I agree! It would be a cool wait to share resources too. @Dethryl would actually play with me if he could go out and gather materials for me to use on my plot.

@ModernChaot Thank you for the rug and foam panels tips! I have looked around and found some that look decent and out to rug shop tomorrow!!

@SimplySenah Try a rug, which should definitely cut down on the sound bouncing around. The other thing would be some foam panels, but definitely look into higher quality ones because the cheap ones are a headache to install

So I need to soundproof/dampen my room! my neighbors can basically hear everything, there isn't much in this room and I everything in the apartment is hardwood from floor to ceiling, so sound bounces so much! What is the best and budget friendly way to go about that?

@Vili_Gjenfodt I managed to find 2 inch thick foam panels, i wonder if those type will be good >< if they stick to the wood walls thats for future me to sort out 😂 I might give the panels a go first! Anything atm is better than nothing! Thank you for the tips 💜

@SimplySenah Foam panels are pretty cheap, but in my experience are hard to keep up (at least if you stick them to the wall with command strips) and you need to double them up to see any real effect. Stage curtains work VERY well, but can be a bit pricier. Or just fill the room with stuff.
