one of my fav aspects of VSC is the plugin ecosystem, e.g. Dev Containers, Rainbow CSV, Markdown All In One are awesome I also use it as a general purpose text manipulator all the time, e.g. as an interface for grep, regex searching/formatting, and ctrl-p + >[cmd] for line level commands like sorting. plus makes a decent git gui it's the best!

@iadlest do you have an LMS departments can use to distribute training content? just an option, but our ActionHub LMS is free for departments to use. it allows them to distribute internal training courses and track completion. happy to chat some time if it might be helpful (- @jparishy)

@OSPolicing Definitely agree. If you ever want to see if our ActionHub platform can model SCOPE as intended, I'd be happy to assist. Not trying to shill. Just think it's cool, and being able to institutionalize any existing model is one of the design goals of AH

@SimsiInc Good advice Big meetings don't work. People have limited time & want to know what's in it for them. Someone needs to "own" the tasks. We can be more effective by working with "communities of interest," and we can involve more officers at very low cost. safetyanalytics.us/SCOPE_Communit…

Why Good Policing Strategies Stall and How to Fix Them: Most intelligence-led systems were designed to describe problems, not to manage the lifecycle of the response. Intelligence is briefed in meetings, but execution happens across shifts, units, and partner agencies—often with zero real-time feedback loops. The result is operational drag. Instead of driving action, leaders are left piecing together anecdotal updates to determine if strategies are being carried out and if conditions are actually improving.
