Godly women who "think well" in the Bible: --Moses' mother devises a great plan to save his life (Exodus 2) --Jael delivers God's people from evil warriors by her shrewdness (Judges 4) --As men act like cowards all around her, Deborah judges Israel well (Judges 4) --Naomi forges a wise plan to bless Ruth, a plan that eventuates in the birth of David, the kingly forerunner of the Messiah (Ruth 2-3) --Abigail's incredibly shrewd intervention keeps David from slaughtering dozens of people (1 Samuel 25) --An unnamed woman identified as "wise" helps David forgive and reconcile with Absalom (2 Samuel 14) --An unnamed woman saves Abel Beth Maacah from Joab's wrath (2 Samuel 20) --Esther shows amazing fortitude, strength of character, and remarkable shrewdness in effecting the deliverance of the Jews from their enemies (Esther 4-9) --The Proverbs 31 woman has great "wisdom" (26) and is praised by her husband as having done "excellently" (29) --Mary is the first eyewitness to the resurrected Christ while the apostles are gripped by fear (John 20) --Priscilla is used (with Aquila) to help the silver-tongued Apollos understand the Christian faith more accurately, showing her knowledge and acumen (Acts 18) --Timothy's mother and grandmother are clearly godly women of strong character (2 Timothy 1) --Mature godly women are summoned and directed (!) to teach and train younger Christian faith in godly femininity in order to cultivate the family and the home (Titus 2) There are many other instances of this kind of wise and godly womanhood in the Bible. This is a mere sampling. But it suffices to show that there are not a few women who think well; there are many women who think well and glorify God in doing so. In fact, in a good number of biblical examples, godly women help godly men in a very clear way: their sound thinking HELPS GODLY MEN NOT DO VERY STUPID THINGS. Are these interesting narratival episodes? Yes. Are they more than that? Yes. They are showing us a pattern that applies to our own lives. Godly men must not think that they can feel free to neglect feminine counsel and feminine wisdom. To the contrary, a godly wife--who gives wise counsel--is one of God's greatest blessings in a man's life. Such a blessing saves numerous godly leaders from utter disaster throughout biblical history. This is, to repeat, God rebuking us proud men who think (at least in our less great moments) that we're self-sufficient. We don't need to hear counsel, especially from a woman. Instead, the biblical record shows us quite clearly that if strong men had only listened to themselves and other men, they would have shed blood like rivers, and defamed the honor of God in extremity. Brothers, we are not subservient to feminine counsel. Feminism lies in many ways. We must lead, and we must lead without slavishness or fear. We do so without necessarily having our wife always agree with us (as one example). We men are called to lead, and so in humility and conviction, we lead. But we do not lead in pride and self-exaltation. We are not threatened by godly women; we see godly women as a gift, not a threat. In appropriate contexts (like marriage), we should welcome godly feminine counsel. In the life of the church, further, we do not silence the feminine voice; in good and right ways, we hear from godly women. We make clear as men of God that we want to hear from them. We value their contributions. We honor their gifts. We want a thriving woman-to-woman ministry in the local congregation, and we want women to flourish and thrive and serve in all kinds of meaningful ways in God's church. There is much more to say here, but the point is this: in rejecting feminist lies, we also must reject anti-woman lies. The Christian faith does not denigrate womanhood, or put it beneath godly manhood; the Christian faith honors godly womanhood, and shows it to be of great value and great worth to God and man.

The story of Job challenges the hypothesis that sin is the only basis of human suffering and trial. Job was righteous. Though rare, if God places a bet on you, you will suffer a trial of faith. And that's another puzzle on the question of human suffering. Even a paradox.

The gift of the Spirit is not a qualification or eligibility for ministry 💯
Gideon Odoma@gideonodoma

SPEAKING SOLEMNLY Anyone living in sexual sins (fornication, adultery, pornography, etc), has no place in Christian ministry. Immorality is a very big deal, scripturally. The believer's BODY is the temple of the Holy Spirit. Yes, the BODY. Therefore, what you do with God's dwelling place must be of colossal significance. Don't you see it? And, because of the sacredness of Christian ministry, while you can legitimately be a struggling Believer for a season, you cannot be a struggling minister, if the struggle is that you have not overcome sexual immorality. In this regard, the category of a struggling minister does not exist, biblically considered. This is not about being a "wounded soldier." But in any case, if a soldier takes a bullet during combat, we don't hand him over to the enemies, yes. And we also don't leave him in the frontline to continue fighting – with his wound. We take him out and away for treatment. Whether he can even return to active duty later on depends on the severity/impact of the 'wound' sustained and the assessment of the team managing his case. Taking him out of combat is a responsible act of love and not a case of "condemning our own." Back from the digression. It is alien to the spirit of Christ, to say someone is a minister of the gospel, even though he commits immorality. The practice of immorality cannot coexist with legitimate practice of ministry. A fornicator or an adulterer is not a Minister. Cannot be. A minister of the gospel MUST be above reproach. People MUST be safe under his care. Money, too, MUST be safe under his care. The bible insists that he sustains a high level of integrity – morally, ethically, socially. This is why the Charismata, the gifts of the Spirit are never mentioned as qualification or eligibility for ministry. Check the texts. So, the practice of equating giftedness with eligibility for ministry is unbiblical and should be discouraged. Being a gifted speaker, for instance, does not qualify anyone for Christian ministry. If you know all the Rhema in the book, and all the historic fine points of orthodoxy, but you're an intermittent fornicator/adulterer, you are ineligible for Christian Ministry. You need to be discipled, you should not be discipling anyone, at all. Read the passage below carefully, to the very last verse, please: It says a Pastor: "...must be a good man whose life cannot be spoken against. He must have only one wife, and he must be hard working and thoughtful, orderly, and full of good deeds. He must enjoy having guests in his home and must be a good Bible teacher. He must not be a drinker or quarrelsome, but he must be gentle and kind and not be one who loves money. He must have a well-behaved family, with children who obey quickly and quietly. For if a man can’t make his own little family behave, how can he help the whole church? The pastor must not be a new Christian because he might be proud of being chosen so soon, and pride comes before a fall. (Satan’s downfall is an example.)  Also, he must be well spoken of by people outside the church—those who aren’t Christians—so that Satan can’t trap him with many accusations and leave him without freedom to lead his flock" On the last point above, many people who work in Hotels don't take the church seriously because the see the behind-the-scenes lifestyle of Pastors. A minister must have one life, must be not be two-faced. And he must be an example to both insiders and outsiders. If the church is weak, Satan is only a remote cause. If the church is weak anywhere, the church is the reason why. And now, may the glorious Lord of the church step into this seeming perpetual desolation, and pour us the blessing that is Revival. #CryForRevival

One of the cases that rent my heart that year in Maiduguri was that of a Northern Muslim man who abducted a 15/16 year old Christian girl from the south and fled with her to Maiduguri. Forcefully converted her and kept raping her claiming he had married her.
God has settled me@babaj1de

A Keke man kidnapped a Christain teenage and forced her to convert. When the case when to court more than 10 SANs defended him. A Christain was just sentenced to be hung for defending himself.

What makes a Christian a Christian is certain fundamental attribute and creed. Jesus answered Nicodemus following a question; "I tell you the truth, no one can see the Kingdom of God unless he is born again". Pray for us as we navigate the topic; A Christian Worldview on 21st
