Cash & cap aren’t the same thing.
Cash spending allows teams to restructure deal, pay bonuses up front to those deals & use the cap savings to spend more cash on additional players.
It absolutely does matter how much cash flow an owner in the NFL has.

@AaronLemingNFL who cares about cash spending..for what? There is a salary cap in the NFL and you can’t go over it so it doesn’t matter how rich your owner is this isn’t baseball or basketball

As part of the proposed trade for Maxx Crosby, the Ravens were also prepared to sign him to a revised contract that would have paid him near the top of the pass rusher market. Had that deal gone through, it would have made also signing Trey Hendrickson VERY difficult.
