Step 5: Ratios and Experimentation – Find Your Flavour The standard coffee-to-water ratio for pour-over is between 1:15 and 1:17. So, if you’re using 20g of coffee, you’d use 300-340g of water. This ratio is a great starting point, but feel free to experiment! Adjusting for Taste: If you want a stronger cup, use less water; if you prefer something lighter, go for more water. Keep a little notebook to jot down what works best with each bean – experimenting is half the fun.
