#FPL I'm wondering if I should stop playing FPL myself, and instead focus on content generation and maybe working with a few interested people and do optimization for them. I am kind of growing tired of getting close decisions wrong, week after week. Need to think a bit.

@sertalpbilal Statistical variation and dependent events. when forecasting it's important to be aware of the difference between noise and let's say big picture effects. Sometime heuristics developed through knowing the difference between noise in the data and significant stats are important.

@sertalpbilal In English you need to know stuff about teams and players and in close decisions either toss a coin or use a model. To be at the top you need to be lucky and have skill.

@FPLC0bb @sertalpbilal Sorry did not read the whole thread. Excel and Power query can match known matches and save them for the next time...auto match. When you do it in PBI you can match it with python.....I do not know python but it is simple for people who know.....easy for a man like you .

Trying fuzzywuzzy Python package. It might save me some time to match player names from different sources 🙌

@SoccerSaber @sertalpbilal Lol if the names are different....no amount of fuzzy matching can help. Power Query in excel or PBI can help but more than likely you will need a look up table for the impossible ones.
