In 1986 Keio University students watched lacrosse on tv and felt so inspired that they walked into the US embassy in Tokyo to start their first program. The next year Hopkins coach Don Zimmerman flew to Japan with 4 of his players. They setup clinics and scrimmaged Keio. It was a big success. 40 years later Japan is one of the most passionate lacrosse cultures in the world and we continue to visit every year to help build on what the Keio students started.

Ulbrich says the quiet part out loud. Why do you think Jensen has been to 🇨🇳 so many times in the last 18-20 months? He sees that moat he built isn't as deep as he thought. Most major 🇨🇳 OEMs all designing their own silicon to ultimately be fab'd by SMIC. @Qualcomm has risk here too. A few homegrown companies will succeed, most will fail, but it won't stop them from trying to go it alone. Designing and fab'ing silicon is very hard and very expensive as you all likely know. Bluntly, Jensen likely sees the auto biz slipping and wants to swap it out with server and AI silicon growth, which has been made more complicated. Our (educated) guess is that @nvidia silicon will still be used in their 🇪🇺 vehicles for some time. As for @VW, it better figure out what kind of company it wants to be when it grows up quick - or else it'll just be the one that contributes the least value-add to its own branded products.
