Tomorrow Highway 75 traffic will shift from the west to east side of hwy from 5th Street NE to 7th Street NE (near the Casey’s intersection). The west lane will be closed for work, but traffic can still go north/south through this area. Vehicles will not be able to access Highway 75 from 6th Street NE or NW.

Monthly tornado siren testing begins today as part of Severe Weather Awareness Week. In Sioux Center, sirens sound about 10 a.m. the first Friday of each month, April-September. Testing will be cancelled if there is stormy weather in the area. When the sirens sound during severe weather, take shelter indoors immediately, in basement or inner room if possible. Sirens are for outdoor alerts. If you are indoors during severe weather, listen to radio or other weather news outlets for storm notices.
