Maharaja Sayajirao Gaekwad is still fondly remembered in Uttar Gujarat. Old people still praises his rule. He established MSU and gave funds for BHU library. Btw he was actually the first one who to give patronage to Ambedkar and fund his education in USA. So no commies couldn’t have done anything to him because he organized state dinner with fine taste.

@AgentSaffron Why did Kerala become the home of India's most enduring communist movement? Look no further than the 1943 Travancore famine. A royal regime that starved 90,000. Diwan C.P. Ramaswami Aiyar who banned the press and jailed dissidents.x.com/SirChaathan/st…

What if one of the richest states in British India starved 90,000 of its own people & almost nobody noticed? That's exactly what happened in Travancore in 1943. Forgotten by history, overshadowed by Bengal famine, but it reshaped Kerala politics forever. 🧵 #Travancorefamine

What if person who wrote this is a communist stooge trying to undermine achievements of Travancore kingdom for benefit of communist masters Fact: yes there was food scarcity due to supply chain disruption from Burma. But there is not one official record of these mythical deaths

3 million dead. Not by drought. By design. This is Bengal. 1943. A mother sitting beside her starving child. Bengal Famine of 1943 wasn’t a “natural disaster.” It was a **wartime decision**. Grain was there. Ships were there. Requests were made. Denied. Because the empire needed food for war. Not for Indians. While in Britain, families were told to **kill their own pets** to save rations. Even animals were part of the calculation. Now ask yourself: Where did Indians stand in that hierarchy? Below soldiers. Below strategy. Below empire. This is not famine. This is allocation. And allocation is power. So when someone calls colonialism “development” — Show them this image. #BengalFamine #Colonialism #HiddenHistory

The 2018 Malayalam film Bhayanagam (Fear) powerfully captures Travancore soldiers dying for an alien cause abroad. But the equally devastating famine deaths at home are left out, a reminder that even our art has forgotten Travancore's 90,000 deaths. youtu.be/cv2-UKZ_MmU?si…
