@CarBluGStudio @KreekCraft Yeah, it's kinda gatekeeping the non-plus members
English

@SirDapper @KreekCraft You need Plus to keep it on sale tho
English

Here's the problem 👇
Roblox wants players to use Roblox Plus for sending/receiving Robux instead of donation games.
BUT Roblox Plus limits you to 500/day and 1,000/month. That's not enough.
Now YouTubers/Streamers are forced to (illegally) send Robux using group funds again.
KreekCraft@KreekCraft
RIP Pls Donate and all Roblox "donation" games. 😭 Roblox is removing cross-game sales of dev products and gamepasses. All Roblox donation games will no longer work.

Locking this thread, it has completely derailed. I'm glad reading comprehension is a lost art on Twitter.
This is MY opinion, it's a HOT TAKE. As someone who does Roblox as a job, plugins are NOT worth it. It was my OPINION that plugins offer minimal pros (Reworked web ui, USD/Robux value conversion, Roli value in trades, playtime, etc) that make them not worth the 0.005% chance risk of something happening to my account outside of my control.
I've been online for over 10 years, and I've seen many extensions get backdoored, sell info, etc. Some of them were highly trusted, some of them were for Steam, some for Roblox.
YOU CAN TRUST WHAT YOU WANT. There are extensions made by good people out there that strive to do good. I PERSONALLY view them as needless risks.
This entire post was to say my two cents and my view on extensions. You DON'T need to agree with it.
English

Hot take, if you use ANY Roblox-related extension, you are needlessly putting your account at risk for the sake of convenience.
Just know that if you use any, it might come back to haunt you later.
Sluq@ProCrackRBL
Be honest: How many Roblox extensions do you have, what Roblox extensions are you using, and why?
English

@Jazzyxthree I mean there are definitely ones you can trust, there's like a 0.0001% chance something bad might happen, and that's just too much of a risk for me personally.
English

@SirDapper Except for the Roblox version of Slick Notes, coming soon thanks to @Vis3d_
English

@Tontada223 Open source and through TamperMonkey I trust entirely.
At least you have full control with what you're getting into.
English

@SirDapper "Ro-tector the extension don't jumpscare me"
English

@SirDapper Had to remove all extensions after that one tweet going around (the roblox plus extension), its sucks a lot good extensions getting backdoored
English

@SirDapper People who have like 10+ extensions baffle me. What could you be possibilily need more than like, 2 for.
English

@RoUtilityNews I for one think people need to be more cautious about downloading plugins. They should know the risks involved before installing anything.
In an era where people are blindly trusting things more than ever, it's good to spread caution about things; there's no harm in that.
English

and that’s totally up to you, it’s good to be better safe than sorry.
but writing off the entire category because of potential risk is a bad way to approach things, like your tweets go on peoples timelines and it spreads heavy FUD with the way you worded your post.
not all extensions are equal, some are well established and heavily scrutinized.
it’s not about ‘all good’ or ‘all bad’, it’s about having knowledge on what you use
English

@RoUtilityNews My entire point is that I don't need to add another liability to my account just so I can see how many hours I have in a game, or what my limiteds values are in a trade.
The risk outweighs the usefulness.
English

That logic applies to literally everything online though
If ‘the dev could get compromised’ = don’t use it, then you shouldn’t use apps, websites, or even Roblox itself
because it’s not entirely ‘trust me bro’, it’s informed trust, like what permissions an extension asks for are visible
sure, there may be risk but the real issue isn’t extensions it’s random installs, users not checking perms, with a mix of social engineering (like how I described in my reply with frontend injections)

English

@Paperully I think I just come from a different era because in 2013-2016, there were tons of issues with people getting comped through plugins lol. The same issues persist, though the plugin creators are definitely better.
English

@SirDapper i been using 3 extensions for my whole life and they havent given me like things that would get my account at risk
been using btr roblox ropro and roseal for a long time
English

@RoUtilityNews Doesn't this entire thing boil down to "Trust me bro"?
Not to mention, if the creator gets comped couldn't a hacker just update the plugin themselves?
Never said extensions were bad, just that they're a needless risk for minimal platform improvements.
English

Not true, because a lot of the popular extensions are made by reputable people that make more $ in the long run. e.g RoPro is owned by Dice and he has subscriptions that make him passive income.
The only way you’d get compromised from an extension is if they update the code to inject something on the frontend, they can’t just ‘update and go’, because Roblox has 2SV that protects trading and a lot of other actions. We’ve seen frontend injections happen a lot this past year, where these extension owners are bribed to put onerror code which shows a ‘Update 2 Step Verification’ modal to gaslight the user into turning off their 2SV.
Only way to not be paranoid is to disable auto update on every extension you use, and to never download unknown low install extensions.

English

@nonbinary @RoSealExtension @juliaroseal I personally really like a few extensions, Roseal included.
Though if it gets back doored... that's where the fear stems from. It's just a liability for convenience.
English

@SirDapper except @RoSealExtension made by @juliaroseal get it today at a chrome extension webstore near you!
English

I've seen people getting deep-fried for mentioning that R6 is bad because people automatically jumped to the idea that they were saying "Blocky classic avatars are bad, everyone should use rthro instead."
When anyone with developer knowledge knows R6 is horribly outdated and is only good for physics abuse in obbys. It's an insanely touchy topic to bring up on Twitter right now.
English

@SirDapper @Noble_Draconian oh what the fuck no i have not seen that lmao
English

@nonbinary @Noble_Draconian I'm not sure if you saw the discourse this past week, but I've watched multiple people get strung up and nuked for mentioning "R6 vs R15" because the average Twitter user thinks R6 = Retro Blocky character and R15 = Realistic/More Rthro-like.
People don't understand.
English

im not sure why you're getting shat on this hard, I think what they're trying to say is that, either way, your tweet is incredibly poorly worded
people know the difference between R15 and the different bundles is, you should've just said "they should replace all their bundles with skinned/smooth variants, because the chopped up ones look incredibly outdated" lol
