$TSLA Robotaxi Reliability – Simple Math (BY GROK) Tesla wants roughly 99.999% reliability before aggressively scaling robotaxi. That number basically means 1 notable incident every 100,000 miles. Right now they have: 380,000 unsupervised miles Zero notable incidents That’s already better than the basic 99.999% target on paper. But for real confidence (and to scale without fear of one bad crash killing the narrative), they need a much larger clean sample — roughly 1 to 3 million miles without notable incidents. Can they get there by end of 2026? Yes, it’s realistic. They still have ~5.5 months left. Unsupervised miles are currently growing at double-digit % per week. If that pace holds and the fleet keeps expanding, they can easily add 1–2+ million clean unsupervised miles by December. Bottom line:If they keep the zero-incident streak going, Tesla could hit the “comfortable to scale” zone (1–3M clean miles) by the end of 2026.
