@JoeShakour I do not, but that personally is not a concern of mine, given an academic institution's purpose.
As you said, you are welcome to recommend or not recommend them as you see fit. I was just curious if it was based on fact or assumption, which has been answered. Thank you, Joe.
English

So you don’t?
We have a school of 700 students—we openly welcome BJU in for our college day and for presentations.
This was posted by someone who was invited to lecture here, not debate.
It’s a fair assumption he was allowed to teach his view without correction.
Just by having him unless it was a clear debate excludes me from recommending it for ministry training.
There have been two ministerial students I’ve redirected recently.
I know what I was told by Clearwater when I voiced concerns about having all the views open on Reformed Theology.
English

I am thankful for the effect BJU had on my home church, family, and church I pastor (Dr Bob was a member at TBC.)
I also cannot recommend a school for ministry training that would send an uncertain sound on areas of doctrine.

I had a wonderful time guest lecturing on Covenant Baptism at Bob Jones University for their ecclesiology class today! For the promise is for you and for your children and for all who are far off, everyone whom the Lord our God calls to himself.” (Acts 2:39, ESV)

@pjgurry @lukestamps Thanks! That is helpful. I have a limited book budget, and I appreciate the insight.
English

@SirRobertHowell @lukestamps He interacts with Heiser a fair bit, maybe more than any other single author. But, no, this is not a dive into ANE material. This is more informed by the Christian tradition and Christian theology.
English

Congrats to @lukestamps on the release of his book on angels and demons. If you’ve read Heiser, read this too. And, yes, it has pictures! I’m especially pleased that the devil in Codex Gigas made it in.

English

@JoeShakour Just curious, do you personally know the answers to the first two questions?
English

Did they counter and correct his views or just allow him to teach it?
Does BJU teach baptism by immersion following salvation as biblical doctrine or simply present views?
They are free to do what they do and we are free to recommend the schools we do.
I know at Clearwater I was unclear where they stood on Reformed Theology and it caused division and at least confusion for me personally.
English

@jasonkovacs I am preaching through Job. We started last year and, although I alternate between Job and Colossians, have only made it to chapter 4.
English

@brandon_adams My wife has been milling kamut wheat for about two years for us. It is wonderful!
Another interesting fact is the nutritional value of freshly-milled flour vs. store-bought flour.
English

@praximtheology Thanks for sharing this, Cody. I am listening to it now.
English

I'll pose a question to peeps.
Do you want a debate review? If so, I could work on something...
Cody Bockelkamp 🛋️@praximtheology
Really important stuff here. Regardless of the side your on, having an actual debate (X debates are not real) is a tangible way to move this ball forward in the counseling debates. I plan to watch and jot down notes and thoughts on the debate .

@PatAbendroth @1689Dogmatician presented a paper at the ETS meeting. I am disappointed they did not include the presentation of 1689F, which is the feature of the other two articles, in the journal.
English

Harrison must not have done too bad a job if they published him in a Bastist journal.

English

@SirRobertHowell OK, I did the obligatory Google first .. What is ETS?
English

@LutheranSage What is the source of this? This is fascinating.
English

Has anyone heard back about their SE @etsjets paper proposals?
