After drafting , Before the Adult (mental and emotional) version of me tweets on any social and/or religious issue, I always ask myself a series of Questions : - Am I speaking from a frequency of Love? - Am I adding to the hate / marginalisation of any group of harmless humans? - would this be a ‘glasshouse’ situation? In other words, AM I BEING A HYPOCRITE? - Would this help to awaken a demographic in an already wicked brainwashed society ? - IS IT THE ABSOLUTE TRUTH BEYOND EVERY REASONABLE DOUBT. Sigh… omo. Emotional intelligence is not easy but ask yourself why you feel the need to want to seem more Moral or Religious than the next person if not that your H8 is internalised ❤️ 🫂. SO MANY OF YOU NEED HUGS BECAUSE OF UR HORRIBLE PASTS. HEAL PLS ❤️❤️

My everywhere go first blur Moment. I carry my bow leg go bachelor eve. Sometime in I think 2016 or 2017. I pride myself in my inner child being alive hence SWEET TOOTH. Somthing told me that it was weird for cake to be cut into these small square pieces. But the Judgina in me was like : “awwwn maybe dem no told hold money so they couldn’t afford plenty cake” 🤧 •• I had a piece ! One of the sweetest vanilla Cakes I had ever tasted 😩 Again the inner child in me came forth and succumbed to Greed 🤝 I packed like 6 pieces. Afterall why dem go de serve baby sized cake for party. Na so I de feel myself de shayo,lick teeth to make sure I feel the sugar residue from the cake. I de dance de feel myself. About an hour or so later na so body begin weak. I’m like oh gym stress and I ddnt sleep early the previous night. Make I go power nap. Na so I find empty room collapse for bed. One kind deep sweet sleep come. Minutes later I de hear uush! aash!. I wake see one one baddie and her Bobo de kpamurege for table at the corner of the room😭🤣. Room wasn’t too properly lit. But I was like erm NOO. Make I comot go back party jor. I stood up. E be like breeze pass thru my eye comot from back of my neck. Told myself “i just woke up make I balance “ Na so I stagger back to party. Breeze de blow my leg. Leg de shake. I say make I Siddon small till sleep clear from my eye. Na so music over loud . Music wey normal before o. This time it was like the producer of the song was using my brain to play the bass and drums😭. Na so I hold ear. Collect tissue block am (I usually do this when I party to prevent ringing the next day). In my thots Dj don Increase volume cos party don hot. The music begin eco for my head. My eye de zoom in, zoom out at will. My tongue de move on e own inside my mouth. I de hear the sound my tongue de make inside my mouth and the music at the same time. HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE?! Next thing my heart beat join all the things wey I de hear. I say HAAH! Stroke in my 30s?! 😫😱😩 I try to stand. E be like person Pam my chest😭 I fall back for chair. I begin de look around de hyperventilate. My friend wey invite me notice. Asked me “u de okay? Wetin u drink?” Me: “my body de do me somehow bro. I’m feeling off. I can’t stand,ur voice de echo e be like I de dream”. Him: “wait u chop the cake?” Me: “yes” Him : “haah,how many?” Me : “like 6” Him : 🙆🏾‍♂️ u for tell me na. Na edible o! EVERYWHERE FIRST WETIN?? BLURRR! Dem carry me like who survive accident 🤦🏾‍♂️

That helpless feeling that comes with being Nigerian living in Nigeria. The anxiety you feel every time you step out. The constant state of hyper vigilance, irritability, confusion and TRAUMA! Then watching the ones who are supposed to protect the masses oppress, bully and extort the same people they are supposed to protect. YET in terrible situations their silence is SO LOUD! DEAFENING is putting it quite mildly. The repetitive words, memes, hashtags even minor - major protests that yield no results. For decades we’ve found our solace in the affirmations, mantras, and prayers you have to recite for YOURSELF just to maintain even the barest level of sanity. Love for the next person without some form of gain almost feels extinct. Empathy almost seems delusional. Hate for different groups in different factions of our lives has become the norm. Watching the masses focus on toxicity and elevate the ones who spread nothing but hate, intolerance, greed, selfishness and anarchy. Your intolerance in different spheres merge to become a huge energy field of total hate. If we do not wake up and start to tackle hate from the smallest circles then we can only Hope to our creator that we would not be secretly sold without our consent one day and wake up to find ourselves modern day slaves. THE CONSISTENT HELPLESS FEELING OF BEING NIGERIAN LIVING IN NIGERIA. Sigh 🤦🏾‍♂️
