Für uns Europäer ist es unverständlich, warum Anthropic sein Fable 5 Modell zurückgezogen hat. Wenn man uns Europäer davon abhalten wollte, es zu benutzen, hätte auch eine Verbotszone gereicht.

Die USA schließen den Rest der Welt von der Nutzung leistungsfähiger US-KI-Modelle aus. Falls das kein Missverständnis sein sollte, dürften die internationalen Auswirkungen denen eines Nuklearschlag gleichen. In Europa wird am späten Montagvormittag eine Krisensitzung einberufen werden: "Man dürfe den USA nicht das Feld überlassen!" wird zum wiederholten Male gerufen werden... ...während man am Nachmittag über weitere Hürden und Einschränkungen für KI-Anbieter und Nutzer in Europa nachdenken wird.

@Smart_Money Ich glaube die Regierung hat Angst vor Massenentlassungen. Das ding ist Pervers. Ich hab einen Fehler in meinem System gefunden den ich seit Anfang des Jahres suche.

🚨🇺🇸 Die US-Regierung hat Anthropic angewiesen, zwei seiner stärksten KI-Modelle abzuschalten. Claude Fable 5 und Claude Mythos 5 sind seit gestern für alle Nutzer gesperrt, weltweit. Bestehende Sitzungen brechen mit einem Fehler ab, neue Anfragen an die Modelle laufen ins Leere. Die übrigen Claude-Modelle bleiben online. Den Grund dafür hat die Regierung öffentlich nicht genannt. Die Anweisung kam als Anordnung zur Exportkontrolle aus dem Handelsministerium, unterzeichnet von Handelsminister Howard Lutnick, mit Verweis auf die nationale Sicherheit. Mehr Begründung gibt es offiziell nicht. Was sonst bekannt ist, kommt von Anthropic selbst. Die Firma versteht die Anordnung so, dass jemand einen Weg gefunden hat, die Schutzmechanismen von Fable 5 auszuhebeln, einen Jailbreak. Anthropic hat sich die Demonstration angesehen und widerspricht: Die Lücke sei klein und längst bekannt, andere frei verfügbare Modelle wie GPT-5.5 zeigten dieselbe Schwäche. Legt man diesen Maßstab an die ganze Branche an, ließe sich kein neues Spitzenmodell mehr ausliefern. Anthropic nennt die Sperre ein Missverständnis und arbeitet an der Wiederherstellung. Der eigentliche Vorgang steckt im Werkzeug. Exportkontrolle ist dasselbe rechtliche Instrument, mit dem Washington Nvidia-Chips Richtung China blockiert. Bisher traf dieses Instrument physische Güter, jetzt trifft es ein Software-Modell, das bereits bei hunderten Millionen Menschen im Einsatz war, abgeschaltet per Anweisung an einem Freitagnachmittag.
