I say kids will be kids. There will always be some form of "smoking" in the "boys" room going on with our adolescent youth. I really hope humanity always has this. I really just meant that I found happiness in the fact that potentially a kid realized he was creating a lot less lithium encased plastic future rocks by smoking cigarettes. Maybe that kid has a composting science project going on with all of his butts and boosting populations of the Bacillus cereus or fungi like Pleurotus ostreatus. Or maybe he or she is a chemistry kid and is to remove the majority of mass and utilize what remains in cool new ways. I dont know what I do know momentarily in this moment now is this. Standing strong amongst the Great Dead Screen sea of plastic, is that pack of Newports. You know what those classic green lines say to me? They say "Kid, I am grateful your variant is still to exist. I'm glad you held it together for us. I'll see you when I'm 95. I promise you my Vote" 🫡🇺🇸

That pile is roughly 300-400 devices from one middle school. At $10-15 retail, that's $3,000-6,000 in nicotine hardware confiscated from children aged 11 to 14. And every dollar traces back to the same place. I can see Lost Mary and Elf Bar packaging in that pile. Both brands are made by iMiracle Shenzhen Technology, a Chinese manufacturer that generated $3.5-4 billion in global revenue selling these things. The FDA placed iMiracle on the import red list in 2023 and ordered customs to seize their shipments. iMiracle's response: rebrand to "EB Create," register through a shell company in the British Virgin Islands called Wonder Ladies Limited, and keep shipping. When federal agents seized 1.4 million devices at LAX, the containers were deliberately mislabeled as toys and shoes to clear customs. Toys and shoes. To get nicotine into the hands of sixth graders. The flavors in that pile tell you everything about who these products were designed for. Watermelon ice. Strawberry melon. Triple berry. Frozen creamsicle. The devices cost $2-3 to manufacture in Shenzhen. They retail for $10-15 in American gas stations. A 400% margin on a product that 85% of adolescent users choose specifically because of the flavor. 3.5% of all U.S. middle school students currently vape. That rate has shown zero decline while high school rates dropped 22%. Prevention campaigns are reaching the 16-year-olds. Twelve-year-olds are wide open. And 60% of teen vapers got their first device from a friend, which means the industry built a product that turns children into its own sales force. iMiracle's parent company Heaven Gifts used to advertise "discreet" shipping on its website, promising to label nicotine products as "atomizer, coil, tube" and mark lower values to help buyers evade import taxes. The company "went offline" right after the FDA cracked down. Its staff kept using the same email addresses. One middle school. One pile on one floor. There are 13,000 middle schools in America, and the companies filling them with candy-colored nicotine devices are operating through offshore shells, falsifying customs declarations, and rebranding every time enforcement catches up. The machine works exactly as designed.

The generation who spawns from the children to be produced from your work here, how will they select? I imagine an artificial womb and an AI robot wizard with access to entire human DNA data bank. Combining humanity's genetics to ensure longevity. To ensure reliable contribution, he must keep all PPE (Post Plastibrane Ejects) at a certain level of production. Preferred aesthetic enhancements come with downgrades to core components. The wizard enforces limits on enhancements to ensure productivity goals are met. Generations pass and the human pool becomes pretty much homogeneous. Inbred traits and their flaws normally associated have simply edited out. The optimal human genopheno for production has been achieved, It is at this point I imagine phase 3 to be initiated. Which is probably something like humans are optimized nanobots hooked to some neural network working on something of a much grander scale. ..and this is the kind of negative shit that nobody talks about cannabis consumption, happens when your first smoke of the day is at 6pm after work! Look at your phone for a second, read a little thing, and fucking fall into a thumb tapping tunnel response mode! Instead of calling your friends! Damn it! Should never open this shit unless all your real life boxes have been checked for the day ...I swear man.

We therefore call upon lawmakers, financial institutions, and technology platforms to reconsider these policies in the spirit of justice and mercy. Let the digital economy remain open to the small producer and family farmer, so that the blessings of creation may truly “flow to all” (cf. Centesimus Annus, 30), fostering integral human development rather than new forms of marginalization.

Pope Leo XIV
Pope Leo XIV@Pontifex·
Today, among the goods that are universally intended for everyone, we must also include new forms of property, such as patents, algorithms, digital platforms, technological infrastructure and data. In a context where the wealth of nations depends increasingly on knowledge and technology, when these goods remain concentrated in the hands of a few, without adequate forms of sharing and access, a new imbalance is created that contradicts the universal destination of goods. In turn, it widens the gap between the included and the excluded, between those who can participate in the digital revolution and those who remain on the margins. #MagnificaHumanitas

Small farmers, artisans, and entrepreneurs, often the very “little ones” whom the Gospel calls us to defend, are thereby cut off from the digital marketplace. They cannot receive payments, advertise their goods, or ship the basic means of cultivation. This creates artificial scarcity and concentrates power in the hands of a few.

Yet in parts of the United States of America, policies persist that criminalize the interstate or international shipment of cannabis seeds, while simultaneously obstructing ordinary credit card processing and e-commerce platforms for those who would cultivate and sell them lawfully under local jurisdictions.

@spikesguides I think these boots should be mandated for all military but with a 0 drop instead of a 2mm one. If they fuck up your feet before they strengthen them to make you agile like cat. You are discharged. x.com/i/status/20489…

Thats 3 pairs 9 months worth of miles at work. I used 3 tubes of shoe goo reshaping the supination wear on my heel before switching to layered duct tape that slides a cm to the rear daily. High arches. Tight Achilles. Near barefoot drop tactical boots. Hold and press show sole 🫶

These boots explain why America is collapsing. No, seriously. Stay with me. First off the boots. I am terribly disappointed in what Under Armor is calling Valsetz these days. For comparison on the left is the pair of Valsetz I've had for over 10 years. They're full of holes, have no tread, and they've hiked more miles than I count. I've loved them dearly but entropy claims us all one day and it's their time to go. I figured I'd buy a new set of Valsetz since I saw they still exist. I looked at the listing on Amazon and thought they looked weird but that I'd give them a shot anyway since my last pair treated me well. They arrived and I'm disappointed. The build quality feels cheap. The externals have less reinforcement and the little that is there has less stitching, meaning it's likely to break sooner. The internals have a much cheaper memory foam inside and are noticeably less plush. Finally the toe box is bigger for some reason, they're at least a half inch longer in the toe than the other pair, they fit more like a 10.5 than a 10. I can't comment on wearing them too much as I've only done some basic breaking in, less than a week's worth of wear but they definitely aren't fantastic so far. Overall, I'm disappointed to see my favorite pair of boots be reduced to slop. But that's the entire country at this point. Over the last decade we've seen the US reduced to an economic zone to plunder. The identity of "an American" is now as fluid and shifting as the spring breeze. As a result, every company has focused on chasing profits in the shorter and shorter run. Companies are worried about the profits this quarter, nevermind next or the one after. That's because they don't see a long term future here. The goal is to get the profits now, consumer be damned. They're a wallet to plunder and nothing else. Multinational conglomerates, billionaires, and foreign nations have plundered this country and are killing it so they can move onto the next host after this one dies. Nobody is chasing profits tomorrow because they won't be here. The boots don't need to be good, they just need to trick the consumer into buying them because profits get announced in a few weeks anyway and there's still some brand goodwill to destroy. This didn't happen overnight. It happened imperceptibly over time through taxation, economic policy, immigration policy, corporate culture, and greater cultural psyops. The entire system reinvented itself to serve itself at the behest of everyone else. "The purpose of the system is what it does." And in this case the system extracts capital, returns little value, and moves capital out of the country forever. Money never comes in and it only goes out. The United States is not dying. It is being killed. The perpetrators are the same ones promising to help you. They are the ENTIRE political class, the entire corporate class, and anyone who has either a dual citizenship or a home in a foreign nation. It's not just a pair of boots. It's an entire nation. Our nation.

@ProofofMaro One day there may be a Digital ID and a law banning people from social for many "crimes" of language. The only benefit that I can see to this is that maybe convicted people who were sexually attracted and acted on kids, won't be allowed on social media.
