If the “Restriction” is that you actually have to OWN certain Pokemon to use them, then it’s a good restriction in a franchise such as Pokemon.
TPCi: “Hey, Trainer. Because you own this Pokemon, here’s a gift!”

@DCTILMON The purpose of champions was to separate VGC from the main series and give it its own platform, no? Why then turn around and restrict the best pokemon in the format to the main series anyways? Seems counterintuitive to the literal intent of the game

@kikegames97 Majority of persons asking for a trophy system are very few in comparison to everyone with a Nintendo console, and a majority of that few are based in North America. Nintendo very rarely listens to their North American fans rather they listen to their Japanese fans who don't care

No me vengáis con que no es por vaquería, con que no es la filosofía de Nintendo o que no quiere que juegues por completar cosas porque:
1. En muchos de sus juegos meten estos logros internamente.
2. La mayoría de los juegos de Nintendo se basan en: Recoge 999 estrellas, 999 bananzas, completa la Pokédex, encuentra 999 Kollogs…
3. Los temas no los meten tampoco por que no les da la gana, no por que no entren en la filosofía de Nintendo. Estuvieron en anteriores consolas y con Switch no quieren currárselo ni monetizándolo.
Ahorraos también lo de “es que YO no los necesito por tanto no quiero que los metan” ya Jose Manuel, son opcionales y están para quien los quiera, no muerden ni hacen daño a nadie.
Que nos den más nunca estará mal.

With how you guys treat trophies and achievements? I’m glad Nintendo doesn’t do them. The toxicity around them is gross with how they’re weaponized against gamers today. Clearly against Nintendos philosophy.

The Pokémon fangame/rom side of the community is lowkey one of the most repetitive, boring and kinda stupid
90% of it is "hahaha look its *GBA game* but HARD with EVERYTHING in it" or "edgy brand new game for Le Old Fans" or mix of both

@SyPoNecroCDi @DetectivEsse While I love elite redux for its unique pokemon, and yes they do plan on adding a story and new original content that isn't new pokemon. The last 4 major updates felt extremely repetitive with the only difference being my team. And it's as you put it, felt more like a boss rush.

I have been enjoying the Champions metagame itself, but I think the game needs A LOT of improvements to truly become the home of competitive play
