Today is one of the most emotional and meaningful days of my life. I officially graduate with my Master’s degree, and at the same time, I’m stepping away from esports. It’s honestly hard to put into words what this journey has meant to me. What started as a love for Call of Duty and competitive gaming turned into a career that completely changed my life. Esports gave me purpose during some of the hardest years of my life, introduced me to lifelong friends, taught me leadership, communication, sacrifice, and resilience, and allowed me to build something bigger than myself. I got to travel the country, work with incredible organizations, mentor players, build programs, and compete alongside people who cared about winning as much as I did. And somehow along the way, we made history together. Winning championships with Ottawa University, Fisher College, and Oklahoma Christian University are moments I will carry with me forever. Those titles were never just about trophies or winning matches. They represented countless late nights, stressful practices, team talks after losses, belief during difficult moments, and groups of people coming together for one goal. Every championship taught me something different. Ottawa taught me belief. Fisher taught me growth. Oklahoma Christian taught me legacy. There were so many moments where things did not go the way I wanted. Burnout, pressure, criticism, uncertainty, sacrifices people never saw behind the scenes. But looking back now, I would do it all again. Because esports gave me a life I never imagined I could have. To every player, coach, manager, coworker, organization, friend, and supporter who was part of this journey — thank you. Thank you for trusting me, believing in me, challenging me, supporting me, and standing beside me through every high and low. And lastly I want to thank @Little_B_Man and @TheParadoxMuse for taking a chance on me at Fisher, @Maestraeux for giving me new life at OC and to @HunterSpecht for being my closest friend and helping me through every turn over all these years. And of course to @SZND999 for all the great memories and opportunities and fun times and I’m sure we will have many many more. And to the younger version of myself who dreamed about making it in esports someday… we actually did it. Now it’s time for a new chapter. Forever grateful. Forever proud. LordPunk signing off. ❤️
