@JurassicAddict Honestly I was never a fan the JP raptor looked really lazy and mostly a copy of Blue's sculpt rather than basing them on the original puppet designs.

@JurassicOutpost @LimitedRunGames I'm not so much a fan of the actual game cover, preferred the plain black one

Fun Fact: While filming with Stan Winston’s animatronic Brachiosaurus, things got a little sticky when Dr. Grant went to pet the giant herbivore. #JurassicPark30

I’ve been very skeptical about the effects of VR/AR on humanity as the tech gets more and more perfected; but I have to admit, after buying a Meta Quest 2 and spending the past few days fooling around in these new digital worlds I’m blown away.
I just spent this evening watching Ready Player One in perfect 3D, in a VR cinema with people from around the world, whose avatars all move/interact and have facial expressions that reflect the users emotions (etc) in real time. It truly felt like I was hanging out with people away from my house. Even though they just looked like dismembered characters from Wii Sports, and I was on my sofa at home.
It both amazed me to no end and terrified me that a Ready Player One type *future is coming, OR HECK IS ALREADY HERE! *The kind of future where the real world begins to be abandoned for the digital is a horrible thought, especially when coupled with the advances in AI generated videos/sound.
The future of tech/entertainment/social is going to be nuts. It seems inevitable now I’ve seen it first hand, and yet I can’t shake Alex Jones thoughts on technology and transhumanism. Not that I actually want to shake them, but his words ring more and more true (as they often do 😜) Scary stuff.
Whether it’s a good thing or a bad thing in the long run is debatable, personally as much as I’m having fun with this I am skeptical of where this may lead, especially concerning the social development of children, as I grew up on a farm climbing trees and goofing around outside with only my imagination to fuel my play; but right now I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t incredibly innovative, trippy and worth experiencing.
Anyway these are my late night thoughts.

@PhilTippett @SWinstonSchool Stan's "I'll tell you what it was, A fucking lot of clay" at the end was perfect 😂
English

@Dinophile Oh yes! Forgot to say, I watched the video very nice build! I recommend though for seam filling try Miliput instead of the das clay, it works the same but acts more like plastic.
And for the solidifying parts plaster of Paris will work better, plus it's cheaper 😉

Project Horizon 1993
(2/4): The Poisonous Dilophosaurus
The Spitter was the first model we acquired, so you can imagine the excitement! Aiming for more screen accuracy, we decided to add the poison glands seen briefly in the movie.
Watch it NOW in 4K: youtu.be/VIK0qcfwP8

@Dilophosaur13 @Dinophile I got lucky and grabbed mine in LA for a pretty decent price. A comic book store was selling them
English

@Dinophile @SiteBNetwork I remember building the Lindberg one as a kid, never seen a Horizon one in person. Maybe I should change that sometime.
Thanks for the advice!

Every great story has its dark side, and the success of #JurassicPark is no exception.
Jurassic Punk is a documentary that tells the true and sad story behind the talent that reshaped JP to the film that we know and love. The guy that without him...
