I don't hate it, but I will never understand why Xbox flipped the established button layout. Nintendo owns no copyrights, so there was no legal reason to flip the buttons.

I might get some heat for this, but ever since the whole PlayStation going digital thing started, I've seen people posting images of their physical game collections, and most of them look like literal libraries! Like, how tf can yall afford all those Collector's Editions AND pay rent???

@Kenseiden @JackMathewNo2 @VideoGameHstry Depending on how you look at it, they had three, SG-1000, SG-1000 II (better processor and additional features), and Mark 3 (which was the basis for the western Master System, but then there's also an actual Japanese Master System as well), but this seems to be US based, so yeah.

@GetawesomeG You may be right, time will tell. I hope they reverse course and physical disc based games are around for another generation or 2 but I'm not gonna hold my breath, nor will I buy a PlayStation console that can't play discs. I'm fine ending my Playstation run with my Nov 2020 PS5.

@Six20SevenCustm This is the company that thought Concord would be a multibillion dollar IP that paid 3.7 billion for Bungie. They are not that smart. If Xbox didn’t repeatedly shit the bed the PlayStation platform would be in a tough spot. I doubt their estimates are even close to reality

I think PlayStation’s biggest blind spot is many core gamers decided to get into PC when Xbox went day and date. Sony thinks we are locked in their ecosystem when we have had one foot out for over a decade 🤔🤷‍♂️

@GetawesomeG They're making calculated decisions based on facts and projections, I'm sure they've estimated that they'll lose X% initially and Y% of that will change over the following years so the reductions in manufacturing and logistics will cover that difference...

@thelegendofw @Pirat_Nation I'm sure they have people that have done the projections and ran the numbers thoroughly. Used games sales will be a thing of the past. They will have a monopoly on the market soon and I don't trust Sony to not increase prices or at the very least, prices will stay high longer.
