@sailorsctaustin The advancement mechanic for Silver City Legends. Whenever you fail an action you may instead choose to succeed in the most spectacular way possible. Your character enters the next part of their legend. When they reach their legends end they pass away or into myth.

@ThatGamerAjax A primer on the basics before starting then explaining as we go is best for me.

Quick question for those of you who watch #ttrpg actual plays: If it's for a smaller, lesser known game, does it help to have rules of the game explained or do you prefer to learn it as you go?

@BruceKailee I really want to make a Gmless game that captures the feel of an oceans 11 style heist. I’ve got a few fun ideas, players to the left and right are the angel/devil on your shoulder and dictate terms of success/failure, but it’s still early.

@odo_sean I think it can help set the tone of your game if having to earn a living is an important part of the story you want to experience at the table. Especially if taking jobs is how the players survive.
