DISCREPENCIES DRAWS QUESTIONS TO ADAMS AFFIDAVIT Baloyi has withdrawn her question, indicating that it will be deferred until Advocate Andrea Johnson's return. Sello says commissioners requested documents from a docket. Sello reminds Padayachee that he says the in-take committee decides on criminal referral. It seems Sello wants to establish where some of the documents would've been and how Adams filed a complaint. Padayachee adds theres an inquiry number on the system. Madlanga notes that the affidavit (below) indicates it was commissioned in Cape Town, yet the stamp utilized is from Pretoria. He finds this discrepancy unusual. Padayachee clarifies that their office stamp bears "Pretoria" as they do not maintain an office in Cape Town. Madlanga expresses that this explanation lacks logical coherence and does not accurately reflect the factual circumstances. While the identification of Perumal is not a point of contention, the primary concern revolves around the date stamp. Madlanga finds it peculiar that stamps would be transported, and he asserts that while a date stamp is not mandatory, its presence implies the document was commissioned in Pretoria. Padyachee concedes. Baloyi highlights that affidavits have been dismissed by the court due to non-compliance, which prompts inquiry into whether the deponent was indeed present before the commissioner of oaths. Baloyi asks if the form (Section 27) is kept by IDAC in its office or at the SAPS. She asks how it works. Padayachee says they have copies. He says IDAC now has exhibit bags. Padayachee says he did not take the statement. Padayachee indicates that the signatures are incorrectly positioned. Sello seeks clarification regarding the individual who affixed the signature. Padayachee states that Adams provided his signature. Sello inquires whether the signature is required to be that of the individual providing the statement. Padayachee concurs. He says the person taking a statement is responsible for the document. Padayachee asserts that Perumal should provide clarification regarding the documents he signed, and it is inappropriate to question him about Perumal's actions. IN SUMMARY: The commission has raised concerns regarding Adams' affidavit, citing several discrepancies within the statement recorded by Chief Investigator Dylan Perumal. These discrepancies pertain to the signature and the location of the commissioning of the affidavit. The commission questioned who signed the statement and the basis for its admissibility in court. @eNCA

Confusion arose at the Madlanga Commission after Mr Fadiel Adams’ signature appeared not only in the applicant’s signature section of an affidavit laying charges against General Khumalo, but also in the space designated for an IDAC member’s signature. Colonel Brian Padayachee of IDAC, who is testifying before the commission today, said it appears Mr Adams signed in the wrong sections of the affidavit.

“If one day you have a new government in South Africa that says we will depose the Swaziland monarchy, that can happen within seconds. It’s a landlocked country, I mean there’s nothing Mswati can do to defend himself from South Africa.” - Prince Mashele 🇿🇦😂🇸🇿
Destiny ✨@destiny_ndlovu

King Mswati is ordering President Cyril Matamela Ramaphosa and his office to return the “stolen” land to the Kingdom of Eswatini, in accordance with a UN resolution. King Mswati says the whole of Mpumalanga and some parts of KwaZulu-Natal, especially Pongola, belong to Eswatini.😂😂😂

🎦🎦🎦 This is how the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) treats its own citizens. 🇿🇼 Frame 1: ZRP officers harassing a Zimbabwean motorist. Frame 2: ZRP officers aggressively demanding a vendor's permit from a Zimbabwean woman. Frame 3: A Zimbabwean opposition MP speaks out after alleging that ZRP officers were deployed to assault members of the CCC opposition. Yet many Zimbabwean 🇿🇼 socialites and influencers who are vocal about events abroad remain noticeably silent on incidents like these at home.
Ntokozo Masuku@visse_ss

These Zimbabwean on Social media with large platforms spend more time commenting on South African affairs than speaking out about the challenges facing their own country. Meanwhile, many people in Zimbabwe continue to face serious economic hardship, while concerns about governance, human rights, and political freedoms under President Emmerson Mnangagwa's government have been raised by local and international observers. With the influence they have, they could use their voices to advocate for accountability, better governance, and improved living conditions for the people of Zimbabwe. Instead, they more focused on South African politics, entertainment than the issues affecting their own citizens. Criticising South Africa is easy, but real leadership begins with addressing the problems at home.
