Incredibly disappointing that this idiot continues to hold the resort hostage. Fortunately a small volunteer group still keeps the lower lift spinning.

@StormSkiJournal @NASJAsnowscoops Glad to see My Sun Mountain on there! Where the heck is Boyne though?

The list of corporate sponsors for the North American Snowsports Journalists Association (@NASJAsnowscoops) is, IMO, a helpful indicator of orgs that value transparency & media. Some that aren’t on this list share those values, certainly, but I do appreciate these especially:

@StormSkiJournal I predict some more Indy allies in the Northeast - places like Mt Abram, Camden Snowbowl, maybe the Bromley-Jiminy group, and some SW resorts…maybe Mt Baker?

@SkiBeefs @KillingtonMtn @PicoMountain @sundayriver It’s really hard to say. I was just kidding mostly that since the expansion will make SR bigger than Killy, they will announce the expansion just to keep the biggest-in-the-east title.

I asked SSJ subscribers which mothballed ski area expansion/dev plans they want me to explore. The runaway leader is the @KillingtonMtn-@PicoMountain interconnect. My personal hunch is they'll announce this shortly after @sundayriver details Western Reserve expansion plans 😂😂😂

@StormSkiJournal @CockaigneResort @liftblog Man, if some of the old geezers like Snow Valley and Birdseye come back, it would be INSANE. Not counting my chickens…

Ski area operators must see a seller's market: New Hermon, Maine, joines @CockaigneResort on the market. The closed Granite Gorge, NH, and long-closed Snow Valley and Birdseye, VT have also hit the market in recent months. Credit @liftblog for flagging.

@StormSkiJournal I’m guessing there is some Indy pass additions, both full and allied, and maybe Jay finally gets a buyer? Also of course, Midwest. Unless the Southwest resorts are going to a megapass…

Without giving away any specifics, I will tell you this: there is going to be A LOT of movement in the multi-mountain pass landscape next month. Like, some really foundational moves for certain regions. I am already writing full breakdowns for stormskiing.com
