Day 1 👇 What I built: Took Skimmed from a half-built prototype to something real. Upload a bank statement (CSV or PDF), and it shows what your cards actually cost you abroad: • every foreign charge checked against the real ECB rate for that exact day • which of your own cards is cheapest overseas • suspected DCC (the "pay in your home currency?" trap) flagged • a map of where your money leaked, grouped trip by trip Biggest call this week: I ripped out automatic bank linking. Statement import instead. Asking someone to connect their bank before they trust a finance app felt backwards. Everything runs on your phone, no login, nothing stored. Which AI tools I used: • Claude Code — the heavy build: SwiftUI, the import + parsing engine, bug hunts, live ECB rates • GPT-5.6 Sol — debugging + edits on the messy real app • Higgsfield — landing page + App Store page design What it broke: A misparsed statement told me I'd lost HK$106,054,966 to fees 😭 (it read an account number as a transaction amount). Country flags vanished off the screen. And the paywall popped up on every single import. What I learned: Fake test data lies. Every real bug only showed up once I fed it messy real statements. One PDF surfaced 3 issues at once. Test with the real thing, early. On TestFlight now. App Store next 🚀 What should I break tomorrow?

first shipping is hard you keep delaying it because subconsciously, you just don't want to face the results the only way out is to normalize failure

@johann_sie1985 @KomalWCode exactly what im thinking. Flexibility gives you control. Equity only feels valuable when you genuinely believe in the company and can influence where it goes.

@KomalWCode Flexibility to build my own business, for which i am accepting a lower salary. Equity means you have to believe in the company you are working for, without having the ability to influence it enough to actually become valueable. I never believed in Titles.
