@sparklyrev My church is a 50/50 split and it works well. The chairs are towards the back and make the space so versitle it is great. Hope all goes well.

Yesterday our pews were removed and I'm about to go and help the wardens put our new chairs in place. It feels momentous! It will mean we can get busy being the church of today not just looking like the church of the past. It is bittersweet but right and exciting 💕

How many of you reverse into supermarket parking spaces? It’s one of my bugbears how many a) do it and b) are really bad at doing it so it takes ages. Go in forwards then reverse out into where there’s more space surely makes more sense.

Now it's time for our "Well Drop-in lunches". We provide a lunch for a group which seems to be growing. It provides a place of community and particularly blessed a few people who are lonely and bereaved. What do your churches do for the lonely and bereaved?

I’m not sure where today has gone. This morning I was in a meeting to review our trial policy of welcoming dogs into the cathedral. Some people are concerned about preserving the sacred space. Others are glad this enables more visitors to come in. What do you think?

Our Year 6 pupils enjoyed a special day of celebration today at Rochester cathedral. The pupils joined in a special act of worship and were delighted to present our new school banner. A huge thank you to reverend Jim who joined us for part of the day. #faithfamilyflourish

Lovely full church this morning as we celebrated our Lord's resurrection. During the service we welcomed our newly formed Pastoral Care team.

Welcomed three youngsters into our new junior choir today and over 100 people of all ages came to be in God's house on mothering Sunday. God is amazing

I’m not going to tag them, I think they may not need a constant stream of reminders of what has happened, but I’m praying for a priest friend, the congregation and community whose church has been destroyed by fire. Utterly heartbreaking.
