I hope Roman vs Punk opened creatives eyes to the fact that it’s okay to have your top guys lose clean and it’s okay to have a match just literally centered around professional wrestling. The fact people were actually SURPRISED it was a straight up wrestling match is a problem

Oba Femi remained in NXT for just the right amount of time where he dominated the mid card and then transitioned into the main event so smoothly. Throughout it all, he maintained his mystique while improving every single week. Call came in December last year because Cena wanted to showcase NXT talents on his retirement show. Femi took that opportunity and made an immediate impact, holding his own against the WWE Champion both in the ring and on the mic. He relinquished the NXT title in the coolest way and got called up in early 2026 after a great showcase in the Rumble. In the weeks that followed, he gets to showcase he isn’t just an empty minded monster, but a full package to the main roster audience which must have impressed Brock so he chose him to be his opponent at Mania. What followed was him standing tall every week in the build up and then retiring the Beast at Mania in what was basically a squash match. He’s so over Roman had to acknowledge him after he won the world title. I am just so happy to see this guy achieve all of this in such a short amount of time. This is just the start.
