Back then, Environmental groups in Cebu had warned: “Every grain of dolomite ‘sand’ you pour in Manila Bay is a wound cut from Cebu’s heart.” Now, a few years later, Typhoon Tino exposed the cost of that greed— weaker coastal defenses, more landslides, more floods. The legacy stinks!

The complete disregard to due process is not PBBM’s style, it is more of Rodrigo Duterte’s (pretty much why he is now detained in the ICC). I share your frustration. I think they are building solid cases that will not let anyone get away with the abuse. The Independent Commission for Infrastructure released its initial report and recommended filing cases against big names: Senator Jinggoy Estrada, Senator Joel Villanueva, former Congressman Zaldy Co among others. Big names! After reading the reports, the Commission already established damning evidence and connection — I think no privilege speech of Senators Estrada and Villanueva can convince the public of their innocence unless they show actual proof. Secretary Vince Dizon also said that Henry Alcantara, Brice Hernandez and Sara Discaya will be jailed by Christmas. But those are just the obvious ones — it is such a relief to know that personalities from St. Timothy Constructions, SYMS Construction Trading, Wawao Builders and IM Constructions were also charged.
