The assertion that an indie publisher managed to secure impossible, permanent rights that a giant like Rockstar Games couldn't pull off completely falls apart the moment you look at the actual tracklist. Rockstar Games licenses generation-defining, multi-platinum mega-hits. When you put massive Billboard chart-toppers into Grand Theft Auto, you are paying an astronomical premium to major record labels for top-tier intellectual property. Those agreements are almost always structured with strict expiration dates because the rights holders know they can squeeze more money out of a renewal down the road, which is why even massive legacy titles eventually see tracks patched out. @TheH0nestNPC Honestly I bounced right off it. Just thought despite an awesome presentation, the car handling and AI was just insanely punishing, and there's so much meter management vs. just being able to race. I kept trying and eventually gave up. Definitely has its fans, but not for me haha
