@swff_mtg I think Phlage, specifically from Boros was stifling a lot of other fair midrange decks since it is difficult to beat on board and/or race. Time will tell.

Hate the ban,modern is like the last real format where fair midrange is playable and they kill it. Energy is just the jund in 2026 which has a 50% winrate.The format was a bit stale but pretty fun to play.

Finally got to the secret mode of Get Out by returning two creatures I own that my opponent controlled to my hand after the Ghost Vacuum activation.

@out0myrightmind @xalertnow Pad-mounted, low to the ground transformers are quite normal. Though it should have a proper enclosure to conceal energized parts. Its hard to tell from the video, but it may even be enclosed properly. There may be a fault along the mounting structure, energizing it.

@xcblazeMtG The cool part is that initially I thought Day of Black Sun would make all the earthbent lands not come back since they lose abilities before they get destroyed (this would actually be interesting counterplay). However, the return portion of earthbending is a delayed trigger, fun!

Why does Earthbender Ascension make an unkillable 2/2, in addition to ramping, in addition to putting counters and giving trample? Why does Badgermole Cub create an unkillable 1/1 that makes extra mana while Cub is alive (instead of just creating a token that taps for mana the following turn, like a sane mana dork)? Why does Steam Vents enable so many different powerful archetypes? Why does Stormchaser's Talent not die to Doom Blade, and in what beyond universe is it not as strong as Hopeless Nightmare? So I wonder, why don't people just play some proper interaction? It would be just so easy to do so These are the questions we ask ourselves today, Honorable WotC.

@NordicRest @thebloodsower Do you understand how this card works? You don't have to discard anything. If you discard a land, it doesn't do anything. There are more reasons to keep cards in hand, like looting effects. The only reason to discard a land would be delerium, which isn't present in the set.

This may prove stronger than Expressive Iteration. It takes a little work to turn on, but you can always get 1 card as a buyout, the first helps turn on the second, and you don’t have to play red. #MTGLegacy is going to see a lot of this one

Flow State is taking Legacy by force, and I'm seeing it in most rounds of league play now. You should probably already be thinking about Flow State mirrors. I'm seeing people trying to break parity with Mystic Sanctuary and Stormchaser's Talent rebuying it.
